It has come to my attention that people seem to know each other outside of JUB, or at least very well within JUB.

So, is that why most of you come here? To make friends?

Of course I'm here to make friends! :D

Who isn't?!

more or less for me. i like to make friends, but also see other peoples opinions on posts on here.

friends? ummmm...yeah sure........that's the plan...... and then they tell you how great you are, and how well you understand and then they drop you like a hot potato. or how they cant wait for summer when they will have more time to be here - and then they self delete the next week.

When you have two broken arms and two broken legs and you have to go to the bathroom -- you KNOW who your friends are.

I'm thankful for the few quality ones i have (here). They are always considerate and I try to treat them like I want to be treated.

I think I've made a few friends here. Hopefully we'll get to know each other better as time goes on :). If I weren't here to make friends I don't think I'd be here at all.

Ye, why not? Though internet friends are bit difficult to make because it's harder to "feel" a person out behind a computer screen, but I have made couple online friends on several forums whom I'm still in touch with for 5 years. The sucky part is that when you do make friends online, they always have to live far away so meeting up socially is difficult to say the least.

Well this is for you anyway navigaytion (*8*) ..|

Awwww, that's so sweet.

Friends may come along by being on here but mainly it is hearing and contributing to discussion topics and enjoying them among other things along the way. It is such a great site to interact with like minded people from aroung the world. Cheers to all. And thanks to JUB and all who contribute. Great stuff all round. G :)

I've met some people on here that I otherwise wouldn't have so hopefully I'll get to know them a bit better as time goes on :)

No, or at least it wasn't my original purpose for joining this site. I certainly never expected that I would make friends, but I'm very glad that I have done so and they are the main reason why I keep visiting regularly (*8*) Although it makes me very sad that I'll probably never get to meet any of them in person :(

I've met a few, and i'm very grateful to have them. Can't say that was the direct purpose though. I figure I've got a story to tell just like most, why not share it?

I didn't come here to make friends, so I was very surprised that it is possible to care for people you meet here.

I can think of one person in particular that I came to care about as a friend. As can sometimes happens, things went wrong and we no longer talk, but it doesn't change the fact that I cared about him then and I care about him now.

My biggest complaint about online friendships is that most people want to only talk about themselves. They don't seem particularly interested in the other person, so you end up with throwaway relationships. Use someone, discard them and move onto the next victim. I suppose this happens in real life, too, but it has not been my experience. Uff da!

I'm just here to try and mop up some of my free time while I'm bored. That's all. Forums are entertainment to me.
