Hmmmm

Not a personal attack at all.

I don't recall calling you either a sockpuppet or troll.

I believe that the word They is not the same a saying You.

Don't know how you'd get the two confused.

Only observed that the fakes probably don't understand the nature of making friends on this, or for that matter, any forum.

When I first came to JUB it was under pretty much all false info as I was struggling to finally admit what I knew from the time I was 12. I cruised the forum areas and then popped in for a comment. Then another. Then another.

Along the way, I got to know many guys on here and over the past six years I've had them visit me in DC, met a number of guys from DC (even went on a couple dates with one), gone to JUB meets and met some great guys whom I still talk with and hope to see again.

One can never have too many friends...and since I travel a lot, it is also nice to sometimes drop a note and have dinner with a JUBber or a drink. Traveling can be lonely at times and there are days after I've been making presentations that I really don't want to cruise gay bars (or any bars) and have to make acquaintences. I've done it but it can be tiring, too.

Just a friendly face or chat is often the ice cream on my warm apple pie for the day!

I blame Facebook for the cultural devaluation of the term 'friend.' It has become a word that is synonymous with, 'somebody I know', and sometimes not even that much.

Personally, I use the term 'friend' very sparingly. To me, ‘friend’ still implies something deeper and more meaningful. Call me old fashioned.

That said, no, I don’t frequent a message board hosted by a porn company to make friends. You’re all a bunch of fucking perverts.

Now if you will excuse me, I’m going to see if there have been any updates to the Amateur Showcase forum. :p

I meant "Ram" and "LilBit." Somehow it became a showdown between two giant vaginas.
Darlin', in case you haven't noticed, Ram and I show our affection through shit-talking. There's no hostility here whatsoever.

Well, that's not 100% true. I do have some hostility towards centipedes.

I'm too volatile to be friends with anyone.

I'm mad I tell you. Quite mad.

Awvwww, sweetie, no need to be so hostile. After all, we're just starting to get to know more about you and your life.

You aren't.

I've already had to put several people on ignore here for being batshit crazy-stalkerish and picking fights with me. I'd be happy to add you to that list.

I'm still waiting to get to know you a little better between the sheets. :sex:

I really don't like that but it is true. A friend is not the same as an acquaintance. Nevertheless, there are a few guys here who I do believe could be friends of mine if we had the opportunity to know one another in person.

I am old-fashioned, too.

I personally hate it when people say they have multiple "best friends". The word 'best' is an absolute: good < better < best.
I am with Travis though. I personally would rather have a few close friends that I can rely on and trust deeply than a bunch of acquaintances who are "fair-weather friends". I have an acquaintance who has about 2k facebook friends but he told me once that maybe 5 of them he could actually call his friend. I almost felt bad for the guy but I know it is a personality difference.

Hmm, my post was removed from this thread. Even my "hitting below the belt", incredibly hostile, shit-stirring, low-brow post is too classy for this shit thread.

I agree. I know for a fact there is at least one such person here.

Maybe two? ;)

Lets be honest, the English language sucks at differentiating friends and love.

Well, the eskimos have 1000 different words for snow, so there's no denying that the English language is incredibly under-nuanced.
