I honestly don't know what my IQ is. I've heard it's high, but I've also taken tests where it shows up very very low. I did learn early on that I had a "different" way of looking at things. But this never caused much anguish in my life. It's actually been quite a boon, actually. I'm very happy at being either highly intelligent or an utter imbecile, whichever I am. :)

No. Actually, I was there because my ex (we were attempting to "remain friends") had started dating a new guy, and desperately wanted me to meet him, and presumably give him the Lex stamp of approval. I've told this story elsewhere, so I'll just say it ended with me getting offended, the guy getting aggressive, and my ex getting slapped.

I'm a genius, but the only impact it's had on my life is to make things easier to learn... which is good, since I'm monumentally lazy and can't be bothered with anything that's too difficult. Since learning new things comes easy to me, I was able to get a college education and keep myself in jobs with a minimum of effort.

I'm also bipolar, though I don't know the two are related. My cousin is way more bipolar than I, and she'd about as sharp as a loaf of bread. But she thinks she's brilliant, as do most bipolar people when they're in the manic phase.

I am highly educated, with three earned academic degrees. But that does not really equate to intelligence.
I have already confessed my limitations with using items from an ordinary tool box. Sometimes I feel as dumb as a tree stump.

Unfortunately some very highly intelligent people just come across self absorbed, conceited and obnoxious. Maybe they have Asberger's syndrome, but some, I expect don't have the luxury of that excuse.

That's from watching something about on tv this evening. There was an autistic guy with Asberger's and he was so full of himself.
