Are you still wearing masks?

Ironically, the health care and nutrition and medical industries won't even stop referring to Vitamin D as a vitamin, even though they all know it is not. The body does not produce vitamins -- it uses them.
I've seen heatlh videos from someone who has mentioned vitamin D a few times--and always takes the time to clarify "it's not really a vitamin." You have to wonder if she doesn't get a llittle tired of saying that each time...

Of course, in today's world, for many vitamin D may be more of a vitamin than not. The body can produce vitamin D--but so many will do everything possible to avoid sun exposure...

Yes, I still wear a mask unless I'm outside. When I go into a store or building, I usually wear a mask and a lot of places have a rule that masks must be worn in the facility.

There are still about 325 deaths per week from Covid in the U.S. So yeah, I still wear a mask if I am out and around a lot of other people. Transmission rates are still high around here.

Louis Rossman (who once had an Apple repair shop in New York) had an interestng video on this. One issue he brought up is that that face masks can block facial recogntiion systems--and then discussed how those systems can be abused.

I usually stop at a store on my way home every day and they had a sign up a few days ago saying they had a covid outbreak and over half the staff were out sick.

I always wear a mask so I wasn't worried but I wonder how many of them who overwhelmingly were maskless then infected their customers who then infected their family and so on and so on. :croynan:

I refrained from commenting. If I want to talk to a wall I will find a wall and talk.

I work for a hospital system and you don't have to wear a mask at the nurses station or hallways but only if you're in a patient room. If the patients don't have any respiratory symptoms they don't have to wear a mask.

Two years mask-free and no covid. I avoid masked people in stores now because it makes me worried they're sick.

Retrospective studies show that masks made little to no difference in the spread of covid. That being said, I do wear a mask at Dr. visits, not for my protection, but assuming the waiting room has plenty of people at higher risk than average for covid complications. There is likely some benefit in flu risk reduction as well. I don't wear a mask otherwise, unless it is required.
