Beyond your own pleasure, sometimes you just feel like the whole place you're in is just vibrating the same way you are. And the whole thang's gonna just explode with you!

I went to Barcelona for four days a week ago with my american boyfriend. We had a great time, we walked so much, he took more than 300 pics, I guess that's what you can call being a perfect tourist!
And as a cartoonist I had to celebrate that trip, this is my little tribute to that desire.
Next time I'd like to go to Madrid, as some friends told me spanish people were much more welcoming there.

It's rare there's somekind of follow up to a previous artwork. For once, a friend of mine who just loved my vision of Santa back in '06 (see below) ordered me a canvas with the funny elves. She was so in love with the two bumping ones on Santa's ass, she wanted me to put them in with the new ones i created. I wasn't sure about this, but as we say here, "the customer is the King, all the more when she's a Queen!"

Amazed by the technic of another toonist with hair rendering (http://www.fabrissou.net/blog/2009/02/22/francis-3-le-meilleur-de-la-trilogie/), I wanted to see what I could do with this in mind. I'm working on a full colored porn toon, online soon, but as a sketch I'm not really satisfied with it.

A special technic for the coloring here: the outline is not black but fits each single different part of the body. I'm really happy with it, even if it takes so much time!

I also tried again to treat the body hair very specially. This time it works, I guess.

As another try out, I made a special light rendering on the body part, usually I'm used to show off shadows only: this improves the volumic shapes & it's a good point too.

I just realized I didn't post the numerous sketches I have of my fav character, Nimo, most of them were created on the 2005-2006 period & posted on my french blog.

This is a sketch for one of the character of another project i'm working on. Here again there's a special rendering for the body hair, i think it works out better.

I was amazed by the exhibition of the american Artist Alexander Calder, his parisian years. He succeeded in creating shapes & volumes with just one thin line, not only on paper, but in volume, so light so beautiful, romantic, sometimes funny.

I wanted to try out that kind of extreme stylization, quite far from my own toons. It's really hard to find the right way, but the creative path is interesting.

A french BD blog from brussels invited any actual cartoonist or people to create something or give a testimony for this day, the International Day Against Homophobia. I was seduced by the talent of the girl, Djou, and it made me want to draw something.

This came right away. I'm atheist, and it's quite funny for someone like me to remind any people around that God is Love. No Hate.
I'm not religious, but this I know, anyone knows that God Loves. Anyone. Everyone. No matter the color, no matter the sex, the gender, the sexual orientation, the country, the religion, the political orientation.

Don't let anybody say the opposite cause it's wrong. God doesn't hate: some humans hate others humans, this is the Truth.
& whatever theses haters might say, believe, or do, there is ONE thing that won't change: God Loves. Even them, these haters.
