Remind me again which Republican's rights are being infringed by Jade Helm? On the other hand, were Obama to unilaterally declare martial law in Maryland millions of Americans rights would be infringed Obama would need Congressional approval to do so. That, and a crime rate is a stupid reason to have the military start policing the country.

As always, you miss the point. The question is, why is the administration practising military operations in US civilian areas? And, the Aministration is sending US military to Baltimore. More practice.

To answer your question, as someone who spent five years in the military I can tell you that happens all the time, even under Republican presidents. It just gives a more realistic, larger area to work that would actually be reflective of a combat situation.

As for the last one, WTF are you talking about? The last mention of troops in Baltimore I could find was back in April due to the Freddie Grey riots, and they were National Guardsmen called out by Gov Hogan. Not only routine when police are overwhelmed, but not even an Obama descion.

I would beg you to start making sense, but I gave up on that a while ago. You're just the JUB Class Clown that's fun to play with.
 
I actually feel sorry for the ordinary rank and file guys in the U.S. military involved in this exercise, they're trying to do their job and serve their country, and they get fear and mistrust and anger directed at them by the very people you'd have thought would support them most.

Leaving aside the debacle of GWB and Iraq, I am actually very pro-military and pro-American (it might surprise some of you to hear!)

I was a Navy Corpsman from 2006-2011. I was at Okinawa, and Camp Lejuene, North Carolina. Just to comment on the first part of your post between the Great Recession, and the election of Obama the military has been mentally preparing itself to deal with civil unrest from both the left and the right, and no big shock, both have brought it.

LOL! So the FBI sent some agents to Baltimore(where they already have offices anyway) to help investigate murders, and that's evidence of an Obama-police state? Of course you reject actual evidence of a police state, like the specific targeting of brown people because that's the police state you want. What you don't want is a black man running your police state.

Interesting set of guns laws Texas has. Here in Virginia it's mostly up to whoever owns the facility as whether or not guns are allowed, so a store owner could ban guns in his store, although publicly owned places like parks, and streets can not. I had to Google whether or not guns are banned at the General Assembly, and it doesn't appear that they are.

It used to be like that here, but you know, people were telling other people they couldn't have guns in bars, and we all know that's against the American Way!

Anywhere that isn't exempted (politicians of course don't want the dirty public having guns around them!) it's also illegal to simply put up a sign saying you can't carry your hidden penis extender.

I realize that this may be a little complicated for you to understand so I'll write it slow to assist in your comprehension:

The reason the military exercises are taking place in these locations is because military bases are located in the vicinity of the exercises. The areas have been used for exercises for decades; people are not close by to disturb or to potentially get injured if they wander accidentally into the site.

I suppose we could just close the military bases in all of these states and move to blue ones; let's wait for screams when millions of dollars suddenly evaporate from the local economies. The areas around these bases exist because of the base; not the other way around. I work with many of these communities and my son is stationed in one and participated in these exercises. You really do need to have your medication increased or adjust the tinfoil on your hat.
