  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

Ask Splatter... stuff!

SIDE NOTE: I just listened to Wave of Mutilation by The Pixies.

I know now two things - that Scarling. covered that song, and where the genre "stargaze" came from. Probably why i'm not much of a fan of Scarling as i was a fan of Jessicka's previous band - Jack Off Jill.

Still waiting on Mommy's Little Monster to finish.

Either Japan or California. Both are delightfully weird and out there, foreign to me, and the music and fashion scenes are incredible.

Beer and liquor - i've had wine twice... and both times, on a date.

...... Are you sure you never heard of the Pixies?
As you mention wanting to ask Ed Norton a question about doing another cult film like Fight Club, which I am guessing you like.
At the end of the movie as the City blows "Where is my mind" closes out the movie

Do you like the Tabernacle?

I hate all metal except ambient black and funeral doom. Would you still let me suck your cock?

Haha, not posting a face pic for fear of retribution. PM me if you genuinely want one though

Left Germany when i was 9, so that's a no.

You have an awesome view from the hills behind it:

One warm summer night I plan to make sweet love there, hehehe

What is your favourite band at this very moment? Also, have you listened to Into Eternity before?

What is the level of discrimination you have personally faced during your life from each of these:

Being black.

Being gay.

Having a mohawk.

(add anything else you can think of that I may have forgotten)

P.S. if you're planning on covering your torso and arms with tattoos, post a pic here before you do (I so much prefer pics of guys without tattoos ruining it all)

Who are the top 5 prowrestlers you'd like to get it on with?

Into Eternity, progressive death right?

meh, they're ok, too many whiny clean power vox though...

anyways, what are your thoughts on underground hip hop?

:)

Buff Bagwell? Have you seen what he looks like now?

AAAAAAAARGH. Yeah, prog melodeath or something like that. I don't get too caught up in the sub-genres, but oh well. Anyway, I can respect your opinion...

But that's why I love 'em. Awesome guitar work and a good mix of harsh and clean vox. The drum work is absolutely fantastic too, it really stands out to me, in a good way. I guess I'm also a little biased because I'm from the same city as them.

oh, I mean, they're not baaaad, its just I usually like things that are a lot harder!

:)

Oh you like the clean vox, interesting....

Why is that every time I find a good band and I fall in love with it, I find it out that it just has been disbanded?

Just found out about My Bitter End and I was soooo excited because I was all like, OH YAY, CREATIVE DEATHCORE. And then bam.

Ok, i went and checked your band out, and realized, i HAVE heard of these guys before(Severe Emotional Distress).

That song doesn't do them - or your description of them - justice at all, except the leads' clean vocals are awesome. I saw it on Headbanger's Ball a few years ago, and hated it. Still don't like it now.

I went and listened to Time Immemorial though, and thought they had some promise... i can see them touring with Soilwork or someone like that. So, maybe they're getting better? ..|

Severe Emotional Distress is from The Scattering of Ashes album, which... well, it's good, but I think it took a little bit of time to grow on me. The album that's generally regarded as their best is Buried in Oblivion (released before Scattering, with a different singer). Time Immemorial is from the most recent album, The Incurable Tragedy, which is currently my favourite by them.

But yeah, I'm actually surprised by how big they are already. I'm pretty sure they've toured with Dream Theater and they also played in Gigantour.

Also, I was actually listening to Soilwork as I read your post. :D
