Why all of the praise for Chi Chi La Rue? (Not simply you, but--it seems, many others--I recently watched an interview with David Benjamin in which he talks about his dreams of working with her.) What makes her and her work special, and why is she the gay Hugh Hefner?

Chi chi is an icon. Chichi/Larry has been around for decades. Literally. He was directing some of the big gay porn movies in the early 90s and was very instrumental in creating the mainstream gay porn industry. The movies are great... and while a lot of directors (such as myself) have kinda shunned the spotlight*, Chi Chi has done really well with creating a fun public persona, too. It's not a party without Chi Chi hosting it.

This is someone we all like and someone who isn't scared of making all their life public, even the bad parts (you'll notice I never talk about any of my own "bad" things).




*(you'll notice that I don't show up at award shows or industry events, I turn down any mainstream press interview and even most porn press interviews and aside from BTS pictures I can't really stay out of, I don't tend to show my face in public much... I stopped my Youtube videos and stopped writing my blog. I guess if you follow me on Facebook you see me and my dogs and husband a lot, but that's not really the same thing.)

Do you think that a rimjob could potentially work in a romantic sex scene in a movie? I'll give a hypothetical example on how I'd imagine it would work....

Imagine a scene in a movie where a gay couple is cuddling on a gigantic king-sized bed in a beautiful, gigantic bedroom, they talk about things that are relevant to the plot of a movie, whether it's something that happened to a character in a prior scene or something that might happen in a future scene...The men start kissing each other and one of the guys starts to kiss the other all the way down his back, working his way towards his ass....The camera shows the guy smiling as the other guy is shown kissing both of his ass cheeks and smiling seductively....and the end of the scene is the other guy moaning lightly with faint licking sounds in the background and the camera fades to black....

Anyway... I witnessed a bit of overt homophobia from a couple of the fratmen, but that was never from any of the guys who made it to the Fratpad. I would always confront it, too. Usually when I'd tell them to remember who was paying for the whole operation and told them I was gay, their opinions would change pretty quickly. Remember that homophobia is usually just grown from not knowing or interacting with gay people.

Once the guys had made the jump to being in actual gay porn (remember fratmen was mostly solo), I don't remember seeing anything worth mentioning. Certainly nothing disrespectful to their scene partners.

No, I don't hate him. I just find a lot of the stuff he says to be down right lies, especially about not being in the public eye. He jumps at the opportunity for attention and there is only so much to hear until you have to call it out for what it is.

Though I can not, unfortunately, claim to KNOW Jasun, I have become familiar with him, through JUB, over the course of many years.

Yes, he can be brutally straight to the point (though he's been lightening up a bit as he gotten older, more mellow), and doesn't hold back. What you see, read, is exactly who he is. The term INTEGRITY comes to mind.

Though he can be self promotional (and, who can blame him?), he has not been the type to seek "fame" and "acclaim". That's not his gig.

He is passionate about what he does. He is dedicated to his work, what he's trying to accomplish, and that extends beyond the studio and into his private endeavors. There is a LOT about him that I've come to Admire.

Award shows? Media attention? That's simply not Jasun. There is far more to him than wanting to be a "Flash in the pan" attention whore.

I have to grant him a LOT of credit for not being that shallow when he is in a position to easily gain superficial "success". There is far more to him. Far More!

It depends. Some guys can stay hard for the whole shoot... some, depending on the position, need to stop every few minutes but they get hard again by sucking dick or kissing their scene partners. I get the guys into some odd positions and having me off camera shouting directions to performers and crew can get distracting.

Well, actually, as director and head of production for one of the biggest studios, yes I AM invited and I'm usually nominated in multiple categories. I've won a few times, too. I still have a lot of friends in the industry and they DO notice that I'm not there and I often am asked to be a presenter.

I DID go to the XBiz awards last week (I'm sure you follow my Twitter and Instagram so I won't link to the pictures of me with Nick Prescott, Rocco Steele and Adam Ramzzi all sitting together and doing the red carpet since I'm sure you've already seen them). But that's really because nobody else from Titan could go and they wanted someone to be there.

Totally untrue. I've been asked to appear on CNN, Huffington Post and a bunch of smaller talk shows. I was asked to take part in a story about women and gay porn for Cosmo, I was asked to do an interview for The Advocate a couple years ago. My new movie Cauke For President is coming out in a couple weeks and a lot of mainstream press is covering it (it's already been mentioned in Chicago Tribune, Advocate, Huffington Post and a few others) but I've said I'd rather the stars and the VP of Titan do the interviews about it. I'm not really interested in a huge spotlight.

I did accept doing an interview for Manhattan Digest last year, but that's because it's a very porn-positive blog and it's a smaller publication, not too big. And the writer is a friend of mine.

I have never wanted to be a Youtube celebrity. I made my Youtube videos because it was free, exclusive content for my blog which was (at the time) a huge chunk of my personal income. I made about $60K from Gay Daily Hot at its peak and the reason I stopped making those youtube videos regularly was that I was hired on full time with Titan and I sold GDH to my blogging partner for more than you probably make in a year.

He once made a comment about the colour of my house. Which I had never mentioned here. At first I was terrified that he WAS, in fact, camped outside my house stalking me, but then I realized that I had shot a few on my Youtube videos in my front yard and the colour of my house was visible in those... so... at least we know he watched my Youtube vids when I made them.
