Wasn't there a plan that involved an anti-viral and anti-bacterial lubricant once (instead of condoms)? What happened to that scheme? It would be a Godsend for the industry.

But it wasn't. THe reports I'd heard were that the anti-viral agent caused tiny lesions in the skin and actually created MORE points of entry for the virus. I can't remember where I heard that... I'll have to do some searching.

What's so bad about just fucking using condoms?

2.

Is anybody you've heard of involved with Dildonics?

no. I had to Google that. Never heard of them.

ew, go away.

you're straight.

F'ing funny!

Apologies if these have been asked already -

How many cameras do you use in an average solo shoot? And what kind - you just shooting DV, or HDV, or is it more hi-end than that?

Do you do camera all yourself, or have multiple crew? How many crew members are in the room during a typical shoot?

Do you have a specialist stills photographer at the shoot? Do you stop periodically during the shoot for stills work, or is it all done at the same time? (Never seem to hear cameras going off in the finished product.)

Is someone directing the action much? Do you need to do much audio editing to remove direction/crew noise?

I have more if you want 'em!

^ I think the point is you have more chance of getting hit by lightning than of catching HIV via a cum-rub. It's a question of risk management - you could carry a lightning rod whenever you walk outdoors, too.

Just one camera. But that camera cost more than my motorcycle. We use an HD camera although we're still just releasing in NTSC. We'll eventually start to re-release titles in HD if the demand is there.

I mean, I don't do ANY of the principal shooting. I shoot all the behind-the-scenes and bonus footage. I shot the documentary for AW5 and all the secondary stuff for most of the movies but John shoots all the main features himself. There is no crew. John uses a hand-held camera and any set-up that needs to be done is done before shooting begins so there are only two people in the room.. him and the model.

One of the Halmarks of John's work is that he uses natural light which means a lot of ourdoor stuff and all the houses we use must have lots of windows and we need to shoot early in the day. It's one of the main reasons we often shoot in Palm Springs.

No, John shoots all of that, too (but he IS a specialist - John is a brilliant still photographer and I think the Fratmen coffee table book coming out for Christmas this year should be a huge hit) .We do the movies a rather unique way. All still photography is done first. John takes the model through the whole movie in still photography format first. That way he's more comfortable just being naked on camera with a boner in front of a man he only met the day before. He knows how the movie is going to proceed and he doesn't need to worry about how he's moving or how he's
positioned as he acclimatizes to being photographed.

It extends the shoot, of course - Fratmen shoots are generally two days and sometimes three - but the end result justifies the means.

My first job with Fratmen was actually audio editing. John talks through the whole shoot. I would go in and edit out his voice from the final edit. It can be a crazy process. I've also had to take out the sound of cell phones ringing, dogs barking, car horns, a loud children's birthday party in the next yard over and the sound of me teaching Toby how to ride my motorcycle.

Funny story..... We shot Miles II over about two months. It's one of my favorite movies and I think it's just brilliant. Miles did an amazing job and John used every time of day and every kind of light to show Miles' skin tones.. early morning, sunset.. we shot it in Hawaii, Palm Springs, Hollywood and the old LA Fratmen studio.

But when we went to edit the final movie, we found that there was no audio in two of the scenes. I actually went in a did Folley for the whole thing. I filled the bath tub with water and recorded splashes, recorded ambient noise from my house with the birds and wind and traffic. I even recorded heavy breathing and cum sounds... then flew it all in. Viewers have no idea that in one scene it's me they hear moaning during the cum shot.

Please.

Welcome back Soil

Thanks.

Although as I've said, I'm not really "back."

I've been posting in the porn forum for a while but nowhere else aside from this thread.

Too much to do and not enough time.. something had to go.

Do John and you disagree when casting guys? Frequently or infrequently? If so, whose opinion usually comes out on top?

Yes.

I mean, generally I'm not even part of the equation until it's all set and done. John's the guy who directs so John's the guy who chooses who he shoots. He'll occasionally ask for my input and he does listen to my opinions but he's got the last word 100% of the time.

There are guys I thought we should shoot that we didn't and a few guys I didn't think we should shoot who we did. But 95% of the time I think he's bang on.

Has getting a hard on ever been a problem with any of your models.
I mean you know out of nervousness?
Or sustaining a hard on for the shots where they arent jacking off but only posing?

Have any of the guys been virgins when they did their first shoot?

Not that I know of.

But as I say over and over again... we do solo stuff, not hardcore.

So if we was a virgin at the beginning of his shoot, he was still a virgin when he finished it.

for sure. happens all the time. We have porn and John will actually leave the room until he gets hard and he'll come racing back into the room and take a few pictures before he loses his boner.

Would you recommend a specific download manager or accelerator to use with fratmen.tv?

Would you recommend a specific download manager or accelerator to use with fratmen.tv?

not sure what you mean.

you mean to download the full length movies? I don't think there IS one. just go to each model's page, right-click or Control-click the "DOWNLOAD" button. select "Download linked file or "Save target as.." and download the movie.

IF you're just a member of Fratpad and therefore get access to Fratmen.TV this weekend, so be quick.. there are over 190 full-length Fratmen movies to download. That doesn't include a few hundred hours of Fratmen LIVE! shows and over an hour of behind-the-scenes blog videos in the blog.

oh and over 5000 still pictures.

Why do you have such a wonderful life?

honestly, because I deserve it. I'm not any different from other people out there but I decided that I wanted to have a great life and I went out on a limb to get it.

I worked really hard to get the skills I needed for the kind of job I wanted, I took a lot of chances like selling everything I owned and sleeping on a friend's floor for five months so I could move to America and take a job with Fratmen.

I learned to give myself permission to enjoy my life.

I took a lot of chances and worked really hard. Life IS what you make it.

Just about anyone can have a great life but they have to want it enough.
