not to bombard you but,

How often do models report difficulty getting/keeping jobs or other official positions as a result of doing one or two scenes? There was a recent story about Sasha Gray's problems with this. Do you see such discrimination changing with time?

What are the main things that convince someone to model if you searched them out rather than vice versa? How often does someone who hadn't originally sought out the work ended up going through with it? Is it common for someone to do a scene because he desperately needs the money?

Is there usually a direct relationship between attractiveness of model and cost of hiring them, or does it depend? Do companies 'save up' for their hottest models?

Do you think the transition from discrete magazines to ubiquitous websites in decades past has discouraged many potential models from getting into the business? In other words, would it have been easier to get a hot guy to pose in the 80's or 90's for a magazine than for a big website today?

What do you say to people who complain that websites like fratmen only do solos? What kind of feedback do websites listen to most? The statistics of which pages are viewed, comments on forums like JUB, or emails from customers? Does feedback play a big part in a studio's content?

What happens more often: a gay model asking for his sexuality to be concealed/not reporting it, or the website actively pretending he's straight?

What is your favorite dessert?

What are some of your favorite shows or cartoons growing up?

What is your opinion of the guy in my sig?

Um, not sure I have a favorite desert. I don't ever have a treat like that after a meal. I do occasionally have something sweet like berries.

Growing up I liked batman when I was very young, buck Rogers when I was a bit older. I remember I liked Dukes of Hazard and CHiPs. And when I got older I liked moonlighting.

Guy in your sig is great. He's got a very genuine charm. The strong, silent type. Strong body but soft spoken. Seems like he'd be a good cuddeler. Amazing chest and upper body. Handsome in that "big lump of meat" way. Not a classic beauty but has a very "dopey college jock" style that makes any imperfections he might have into assets.

I don't know the Sasha Gray story so I can't say much about it. You hear about it from time to time but seldom. Less than you do about people getting fired for posting homophobic shit on their Facebook and getting fired from their job as a guidance counsellor.

I'm not a scout and never have been so I can't really tell you. I don't know about "desperately" needing money but I do know a lot of models who tell me that they do porn to pay off their student loans or because they only work part time jobs and this helps them pay their rent.

Is there usually a direct relationship between attractiveness of model and cost of hiring them, or does it depend? Do companies 'save up' for their hottest models?

Not usually. Generally studios have a set price they pay models and it's "take it or leave it." Sometimes they can work out deals if they really feel a model is worth it. But that's rare.

Do you think the transition from discrete magazines to ubiquitous websites in decades past has discouraged many potential models from getting into the business? In other words, would it have been easier to get a hot guy to pose in the 80's or 90's for a magazine than for a big website today?

No. I think the opposite. Now that the young generation has grown up with role models like Paris Hilton, Kim Kardashan and every other person who became famous for their sex tape and nothing else, doing porn isn't really that big a deal. You have to understand that in the 80s, sex was something you did with the drapes drawn and lights out, now it's something you do on GRindr and Xtube. The current generation of 18 year old have been sexting each other since they were in 8th grade. To them, pictures of their make bodies accessible to all is just a "yeah.... so" thing for them. The internet has allowed this generation to grow up sharing EVERYTHING on MySpace and Twitter. So.... making porn... not a stretch.

What do you say to people who complain that websites like fratmen only do solos? What kind of feedback do websites listen to most? The statistics of which pages are viewed, comments on forums like JUB, or emails from customers? Does feedback play a big part in a studio's content?

I say "if you don't like the theme of this site... there are many sites with the theme you want... go join that one." Feedback is something that's taken into consideration but you have to understand that 90% of feedback and suggestions that porn companies get are from insane people who suggest things you're never going to do. They all say "all my friends think that you should..." and then describe their own personal sexual fantasy. A studio will follow their own path and gauge from sales what did and didn't work. You'll get people watching a scene that sold really well and then saying "well, I only like it when the big guy fucks the little guy and the bottom needs to be more like _____ and the top should have ______ more." That isn't anything but their own fetish.

What happens more often: a gay model asking for his sexuality to be concealed/not reporting it, or the website actively pretending he's straight?

I mean... neither one of those really happens as much as you're lead to believe. There are the studios that claim all the models are straight and virtually all of them are. No names. Then there's the silly sites that use very out and proud gay models to play straight characters on their "pick up the straight guy in public and fool him into gay sex" sites. They're not really lying to you... the model is playing a character, you're not supposed to ACTUALLY think that John Magnum got "fooled' into having gay sex on Bait Bus.

What is your personal opinion of Tyra Banks?

Have you ever had sex with a black man?

Are there any straight male porn stars you find really attractive?

Hey ther Jasun.

You've been away too long.

The hug from the south has a northern counterpart here, as well! (*8*) It's great to see you back, and a lot of us have missed you.

**squeals with delight**

NON-PORNO QUESTION: Has life been good to you in the meantime?

PORNO QUESTION: What is the funniest thing that ever happened during filming...and was it retained in the film? (This is an "old chestnut" of a question that you answered a few years ago, but your answer was great, and the moment was priceless...though I don't know if you have "permission" to re-post the video excerpt again as you did back then.)

Why do majority of the porn actors in mainstream look bored when they're doing gay scenes?

Does anyone in the film crew get a hard-on while watching and filming the scenes?

Do any of the porn actors ever get each others number after they fuck?
Then do you ever hear later they became an item?

Well... I could ask random questions.....

How's Halford doing ?

How's your brother doing ?

Still driving the Mazda ?

Ever had a dream about kicking Sean Cody's uppity ass ?

Nah...

That would just be silly.

Did I ever tell you that you're my all-time favourite JUBber?

*smothers Jasun in more hugs and kisses*

OK, that's me calmed down now.

Questions....

How has life been the last year for you?

Are you still climbing your way up the ranks of Jake Cruise's media empire?

Have you been motorbiking your way around the country to anywhere interesting?

How are your dogs keeping?

What are your plans for Christmas and New Year?

It's SO GREAT to see you back! (*8*)

1 What is your personal opinion of Tyra Banks?

A great example of someone who reinvented herself when she was deemed "too old" by her ageist industry.

2.Have you ever had sex with a black man?

Yes.

3. Are there any straight male porn stars you find really attractive?

Well I did a scene with Beau Flexxx. But yes, other than him, there are plenty.

NON-PORNO QUESTION: Has life been good to you in the meantime?

Yes. Busy... Very busy. Don't expect to see me here much. But it's been great.

I still remember when we were shooting a three way with dominic Ryder, Tristan Baldwin and AJ Irons. Dominic was supposed to say "why don't you drop those loads in my mouth" but he instead said "why don't you take a dump in my mouth."

After about 20 minutes of non-stop laughing we managed to shoot the rest of the scene but no, it didn't make it.

I'm. It sure what you mean by #1. You mean straight guys making gay porn?

And although I'm sure some of the guys get hard, nobody ever talks about it. I have a couple of times. But just a couple.

Do any of the porn actors ever get each others number after they fuck?
Then do you ever hear later they became an item?

Happens all the time. Sometimes they end up dating but more often they just end up friends.

Halford is doing great but he's a bit annoyed by the new puppy. I have three now.

Doing fine. Don't see him much.

I have two mazdas now. They're great utility cars. Now that I have to travel so much to and from San Francisco, palm springs and San Diego for work, I feel like I live in my Mazda 3.

Sean Cody and I get along great. It's been a while since we've hung out but I like him quite a bit. When I left Jake Cruise we talked about doing some work together and I'd still be open to the idea.

Jasun:

You posts are the reason I became a JUB Supporter. Smart, funny, and insightful, your posts convinced me that the JUB was a community I wanted to be a part of.

There are many members here I admire and whose comments I enjoy, but none more than you, and none who did more to convince me that JUB could be a place where Out and Proud Gay men could talk about things that include porn, but which could also include a wide range of issues that could be taken seriously. without taking ourselves seriously.

It can be a mistake to infer that any site with which someone like you is affiliated is populated with leadership of a similar disposition as it relates to gay and/or gay friendly perspectives, but I will save further comments on that for my own thread. :)

Welcome back. We are much the better off for your participation.
