Have you ever had a performer refuse to do something? Who and what?

I mean.. yes and no... you never spring something on a performer in the middle of a scene, what they're going to do is agreed upon either before they're cast or at the very latest in a pre-shoot sit-down with the director where we go over everything. I'll ask guys "are you ok with ____" or "do you like to do _____" and they say "yes" or "no." There isn't really a "refuse" so much as a performer doesn't want to do something so... they don't.

Have you ever had a performer ask or try to do something too kinky for that video? Who and what?

Not that I can think of, no. Performers don't really ask to do things... that's up to the director.

what were the situations for this quote:

"I want strangle the stars for all the promised me. "

What is the strangest fetish porn you have done if any?

You were ask if performers ever refused and mentioned their comfort. Have you ever worked on a project that you felt uncomfortable doing? What was it?

It's a statement of people who feel entitled to have everything they want. I'm not really coming down on any side of that... just putting it out there.

I've been in the presence of many people who feel that they deserve everything and should have to work for nothing.

I think it comes from a society like ours who tells every young child that they're a "special snow flake" and that they all deserve first prize. They no longer have winners or losers, they give a gold star to all the kids. They grow up feeling entitled to everything just because they showed up. College students who do average work and then get upset they got a C. People who show up to work, spend most of their time reading Facebook and don't understand why they don't get promoted.

So... that's what it means to me.

When you retire, what do you want your legacy to be?

Great movies, for sure. But I also have started to be very excited about the emails that I get from younger men who say they get a lot out of my "questionable advice" series "Shut Up, Jasun"

I guess I want to be remembered for not just telling people to live on their own terms but also as someone who took his own advice.

What is the strangest fetish porn you have done if any?

Hm.. that's a hard one. I guess the one where Lance Bennett licked hot sauce off Tucker Scott's toes.

Then all the weird pie in the face videos we did at Fratpad which weren't supposed to be fetish videos... but then we got a HUGE following from the "gay pie in the face fetish community."

Go figure.

You were ask if performers ever refused and mentioned their comfort. Have you ever worked on a project that you felt uncomfortable doing? What was it?

Not really. But I've never worked for any of the really extreme companies. I directed the infamous "Steven Daigle Straight For Pay" scene (I still get death treats about that one) and I wasn't turned on at all and I also knew it was going to cause a shit-storm of bother positive and negative press. I don't let things like that bother me ever. But to be honest, we had a blast doing that scene. We laughed our heads off the whole time and it really was a fun one to shoot.

Have you met/worked with Bo Dean? If so, what is he like? (I don't think you can claim "well adjusted" on that one...) edit: strike that, just saw a YouTube clip re: him.

What are your main filming locations?

How rampant is steroid use?

I knew a big-name "star" who worked for a major East Coast producer, and while he got tested regularly, had never been asked for his results--not once. How common are minor/non life threatening STI's?

What percentage of "models" moonlight as "escorts"?

Speaking of fratpad, along with buying up all the footage of "Spencer", did MTV put a gag order on them? It seemed very contrived, how they conveniently dropped the bomb mid-season...

Bo is a good friend. honestly.. yeah, he's pretty level headed but like just about anyone has his good days and bad days. Sadly, being a public figure, your bad days tend to get more attention than your good days.

What are your main filming locations?

LA, San Francisco, Palm Springs, Key West and right now I'm in San Diego shooting some scenes for Dirty Tony.

About as rampant as it is in the general gay population. I don't want to guess how many of the guys are taking it. Some, for sure.

I mean... I don't know. A few models have tested positive for the clap but probably didn't get that from porn... just their personal lives. The gay industry has different rules for different studios. Some just use condoms and no testing, some testing and no condoms, some no testing and no condoms and some use both testing AND condoms. Some allow models to choose. I've heard the two stories over the last few years of models testing positive for HIV but one story was probably a guy who escorted that was infected that way but blamed it on porn and the other guy it turned out just got a false positive.

What percentage of "models" moonlight as "escorts"?

No idea. Not all of them do and not all of the ones who do will talk about it. I don't ask so if it comes up in conversation, great but other than that I never ask them.

Speaking of fratpad, along with buying up all the footage of "Spencer", did MTV put a gag order on them? It seemed very contrived, how they conveniently dropped the bomb mid-season...

I won't comment on anything about Fratpad specifically because I didn't work for them when that happened and I'm not really in contact with any of them although I did run into Spencer with a bunch of the Fratmen and the owner in Phoenix at a porn convention and that was AFTER the show aired. So take from that what you will.

But in the broader sense, anyone who thinks for one second that a reality show is in any way "real" is crazy. I have a friend who works for one of the "Real House Wives" shows and he says that half are hired for how gullible and easy to manipulate they are and the others are "in" on the stories that writers come up with. They decide who's going to fight with whom and then the ones who are "in" on what's going on pick the fight or manipulate the gullible ones into saying or doing what they need for a "story" that week.

If you think it's just some random accident that a guy who made gay porn was on a reality show where his "shocking gay porn past" just happened to come out half way through the season, you're the gullible one. The producers knew, of course, and it was timed to come out at the right time. He wasn't cast by accident, either. Everyone involved, I'm sure, made bank. And that's show biz.

Let's take this to A List Dallas. If you think that the most obnoxious douche bag in history just happens to also be a gay Republican Christian who dines with Anne Coulter and just happens to have random crimes committed against him that get reported to E! before they get reported to the police... you're the gullible one.

He is hardly a "public figure". I won't post what I know to be fact, out of common decency for the guy; while it doesn't necessarily make him a bad person or a train wreck (at present), it does make him a porn "statistic".

San Diego-I know that porn companies advertise on military bases and are like vultures towards the recently discharged and destitute runaways. We can talk about "consenting adults" all we want, but it is predatory.

"A few models have tested positive for the clap but probably didn't get that from porn..." So what about the guy that's sucking them off without a condom? I didn't bother to ask about Herpes or HPV, because I knew I'd get "one-in-three Americans have it anyway" as a reply.

In plain English, escorting/prostitution is "don't ask/don't tell" then?

"I mean...I don't know..."
"No idea"
"I won't comment on..."

I'm starting to see a pattern here, but this isn't a beauty pageant, nor a court room.

Do what you've got to do; as with illegal drugs, it's about supply & demand, but this undertone of respectability is almost comical.

He is hardly a "public figure".

Considering "Bo Dean" is one of the top search terms that lead people to my blog and I get asked about him almost weekly... I think that qualifies him as a public figure. Yes, I'm sure you know all about every one of his personal demons. I just hope you never are forced out from behind the headless and nameless torso picture from which you speak and have every dark moment or poor choice you made paraded out as some sort of "I told you so."

Not a lot of people know that Bo spends his Thanksgivings feeding homeless people or that he's helped me out of a jam when I needed help. But they do know about the things that make him look bad. I find that kinda sad.

San Diego-I know that porn companies advertise on military bases and are like vultures towards the recently discharged and destitute runaways.

And more that you "know." Yes, there are predators in the porn industry. There are also predators in the landscaping and garment industry. What's your point?

"A few models have tested positive for the clap but probably didn't get that from porn..." So what about the guy that's sucking them off without a condom?

I mean.. if someone tests positive for the clap, they don't work. Yes, there are some STDs that are a job hazard. Every studio handles it differently. I would never work for a studio that lied to models or mislead them into thinking that an AIM test is a "clean bill of health" or that they're not in any danger.

I'm starting to see a pattern here,

As am I.

but this undertone of respectability is almost comical.

Well, what I find baffling are the people who seem to thrill so much in letting slip they know some deep dark secret that somehow elevates them above the dregs they dane to party with.

Not that I'm saying you do that. Just an observation

Jasun, the death threats you got over the straight for pay scene... was that from workers in the straight adult industry or gay fans annoyed with the straight worship in porn?

It was mostly from whiney gay guys who felt the need to throw a tantrum. saying I was trying to "cure" people of being gay or prove one could "choose" to be straight. That's silly, of course. It's like saying Christopher Nolan advocates dressing up as a bat and jumping off buildings.

Did you feel any moral qualms about shooting Diagle sans condom in his straight scenes even though he never fucks any gay men raw on film?

No. But that's really because I know the whole "damned if you do and damned if you don't" problem. If they had gotten Steven to wear a condom, they would have been accused of "assuming the gay guy has an STD" but since they didn't, it was "gay sex is dirty, straight sex is not."

I had zero to do with that decision. I would just show up to work, direct what was on the board with my name on it.

Funny thing... if gay people see guys having sex without a condom they assume (incorrectly) that the models must have HIV and therefore nothing to lose. But the straight industry sees it totally opposite. I've talked to guys who work in both gay and straight and they would refuse to do condom scenes because "my friends will all assume he had HIV, you only do no-condoms is you're tested and clean."

Go figure.

Were you worried that might make a negative statement about gay men in general as opposed to merely practicing safe practices across the board?

No. I can't even really understand what you mean.

To what degree do the studios control the images of the actors in their films?
Is it a mere coincidence that so many of Corbin Fisher's models have goatees?
Or that most of the guys working for Bel Ami shave their pits? When we see a man in one video with a smoothly shaved chest and butthole and in the next with a hairy chest and butt is it that his whim or the studio's requirement?

To what degree do the studios control the images of the actors in their films?

It depends on the studio. Some will only work with exclusive men who haven't been on other sites, and are very hard-line about look and image. They're the ones who will have a "look" and they'll tailor the guys to fit it.*

Is it a mere coincidence that so many of Corbin Fisher's models have goatees?

Probably not. I've never worked for Corbin but yes, I assume that's something he or his stylist chose.

Or that most of the guys working for Bel Ami shave their pits? *When we see a man in one video with a smoothly shaved chest and butthole and in the next with a hairy chest and butt is it that his whim or the studio's requirement?

Usually the studio's requirement. Many studios will inspect the guys when they arrive, sometimes even send them straight back onto the plane if they don't fit certain parameters like they've shaved their chests or pubes or something.*

Do directors usually go for straight men? Do they refuse a guy work if they find out he's gay? I remember reading an article about a porn company saying no to a guy because he was "too gay" and they wanted gay men or straight men who could pass as straight. Is this common in the industry?

Has it ever happened that a gay for pay guy liked gay sex so much that he "turned" bi or gay?

Do all the performers use viagra, or are some performing without it too?

That's just gossip. No, I've never heard of a studio that would refuse to work with gay guys although if the theme of your site is "straight men having gay sex" and you have guys who are very clearly gay, thats not going to cut it. Titanmen generally won't work with straight men, actually. They want to have real sex and real sexual chemistry on screen.*

Has it ever happened that a gay for pay guy liked gay sex so much that he "turned" bi or gay?

I've known a few guys who came out after having made a few scenes but I don't think you can "turn" gay from having gay sex.

Do all the performers use viagra, or are some performing without it too?

Some guys will bring stuff like that to set and I know of a few studios that will even have it there for models (no names) but most guys are just going with nature.*

There have been cases in which "stars" are awarded workers comp. Are performers asked to sign some sort of liability waiver (in the event that they contract HIV on-set) for any of the bigger studios?

I never took viagra before.
What does it feel like? Is it just make your dick hard without feeling hornier or it make you feel hornier?
Any feeling of side effects ?

Ive never taken it, either.

I know it isn't an aphrodisiac. Just gives men harder boners. I read somewhere it makes you see bluish.
