"the biggest being traffic sales"

How do you sell traffic ?

Hard to explain, really. I don't want to get too deep into it and divulge any of my ways of making revenue... since, you know... I gotta kinda eat and stuff.

I wasn't kidding when I said my blog pays for my house and cars and motorcycles and trips and presents for pretty boys, QUOTE]

Totally random, but is this a play off that line in "A Charlie Brown Christmas" when Lucy is trying to "seduce" Schroeder and she says something like Christmas is about "ho ho ho and mistletoe and presents for pretty girls..."?

(I just watched it, which is what made me think of it.)

We now return you to your regularly scheduled thread, already in progress. !oops!

Then you're cooking it wrong. There are a lot of vegetables that are gross when you cook them the wrong way but are wonderful when cooked right.

But I'll never like mushrooms to matter what.

I've never bought it to cook with, so okra has never featured in anything I've cooked or eaten.

As for mushrooms, pan fried, sometimes I find it smells like cum.

Any food remind you of sex? :p

Yes. And I love you even more for getting that.

I use that line all the time and very few people get the reference.

You win.

It was a line my father used to use as a joke all the time and my whole family would erupt in laughter.*

Artichokes. You have to slowly eat them leaf by leaf, dip them in warm oil and lemon juice and suck the meat off as you pull them out of your mouth while (hopefully) making eye contact with your date.*

That is as sexy as food gets.*

I think probably Arpad Miklos is the hardiest guy I can think of that I've shot but my husband is 5 times hardier than he is. *Yum.

Who's your husband and why have I never heard of him? ((:

Hahaha! That's awesome! You know, I almost didn't post that cause I thought, what if it's NOT a reference to the show but it's some inside joke I don't know about. He's going to think I'm nuts!

I often throw out lines from movies and TV shows, not thinking about whether anyone besides me has actually seen them. Occassionally I'll hit one out of the park but usually...crickets.

I love that we are on the same page on this one! :D

Letting your teeth scrape, though. *dubious noises*

Have you ever thought about directing a (non-sexual) independent film, or short story?

What subjects, both factual and fictional, would interest you if you made a movie like that?

I noticed there is one video at Cocksuremen with Ludovic Canot, who I could look at all day.

What was your impression of him?

What qualities or characteristics are different between people who can do porn and people who can't? I don't mean physically.

Do you find that people who do porn are more confident, risky, spontaneous, etc?

Basically, what makes someone do porn, aside from the money?

Also, what is your opinion on this interview?

An interesting point is the part where they talk about porn stars having children. Do you think a person should quit doing porn when they're raising a family? What kind of effects do you think it will have on children and what is the best way of explaining it to a child?

This isn't meant to be an attack or anything. I just find those interesting topics and I'm curious to how porn stars really go about real life issues like that.

When I was 11, I wrote a script for a sci-fi movie about a planet populated only by children. Later in the film it was revealed that they were descendants of humans but had escaped after a nuclear war in a space ship that had drifted for centuries until colonizing a planet called "Solorn." the people were struck with a disease that would kill them once they entered puberty so to stop this, they took drugs to stop them from aging past 13. So although they appeared to be children, they were often 200-300 years old.*

I also wrote a script for a movie when I was about 27 about the gay punk rock scene in Toronto. It was about a gay guy and his lesbian best friend who were both very talented artists, one who ran from success and the other whom it evaded. There were also subplots about drug abuse, religious dogma, dating someone old enough to be your father and had a drag queen who sang for a band called "Ava Maria and the Disciples."

I also wrote a play that did get produced in Toronto called "ring" about phone sex operators.*

Hard to say. There isn't just one "type" of person who can make porn. I'll tell you that there are people who do and shouldn't... The ones looking for approval of others vs people who just like to show off and be exhibitionists. People who are doing it so others will "love" them. But of course, that's not a good reason to do anything, really.*

Do you find that people who do porn are more confident, risky, spontaneous, etc? *

No. Again, there isn't any one type. I know some porn stars who come across as tough guys who are destroyed by the nasty things said on WayBig. I don't think porn stars are any more risky than other people I know. Spontaneous.... Maybe. I think that might be something.. Most people who do porn tend to go with a gut instinct of what they should and shouldn't do and spend less time obsessing about details.*

Basically, what makes someone do porn, aside from the money?

There are as many reasons as there are porn stars, probably.

Jenna is brilliant. I love her. She's also sweet and friendly and loves her gay friends. What I do notice is that bill O'Reily really got a kick out of calling her a slut and a whore and Jenna *was smart enough to not take the bait. She's very right about many of the things she says, although she's talking about the straight porn industry.

The gay porn industry, sadly, ARE role models. We don't like it and aren't comfortable with it but we know that for many young men, the first gay men they know of are gay porn stars and they emulate and look up to them. They're men who are so open and proud about being gay that they have sex in front of a camera. It's why I was always so attracted to making porn... It was my salvation... My first proof that gay men were hot and masculine and cool and proud.

An interesting point is the part where they talk about porn stars having children. *Do you think a person should quit doing porn when they're raising a family? *What kind of effects do you think it will have on children and what is the best way of explaining it to a child? *

Not a problem I'll ever have so I never thought about it, people have to choose how they're going to raise their children.

That's very interesting, about the gay porn stars being role models. I never thought of that but it's very true.

I love Jenna too. She's pretty awesome.

So you don't plan on ever having kids?

Never. Not something I've ever wanted.*

This is pretty much exactly the plot of the Star Trek TOS episode "Miri," except they didn't have a drug. They just had a multi-century childhood, after which they "went grup" and died.

As far as porn as career goes, do you feel a lot of porn stars do porn not because it's something they've aspired to do or rather something they wound up in?

Many porn stars are former fitness models or bodybuilders. I also know that adult video talent scouts often go to fitness conventions and other events to hire potential workers. Do you think a lot of men start off as fitness models first but settle for porn because they didn't reach mainstream or significant success in their former aspiration?

PS: I know a lot of my questions come off as negative towards the industry or trying to "bash" it but that's not my intention at all.

Another question I have is about models who are not out, or models who identify (or actually are) straight men. I know you've said in the past that you let the models know upfront that if they do gay porn for any high traffic site like Sean Cody Jake Cruise, etc. that it will end up being discovered by everyone they know at some point.

My question is, how does that sit with most new models? Do they already come in aware of the risks and what they're getting into or is it something they tend to reconsider? Can you tell us about any men that have had their lives ruined or had their porn past come back to haunt them? Not expecting you to mention who, but some details on their situation is what I'm curious about.

Last question; as far as straight men in porn, and I mean real straight men, not ones who identify as straight but are really just confused... when model scouts find them, what exactly is the method of convincing a hetero male to have sex with a man on camera for the world to see? Rob Navaro from MilitaryClassified has actually said that he tends to find many models through craigslist by first impersonating a hot woman online to lure them in and eventually reveal that it's for a porn and I'm not sure what specifics there are.

Do straight men actually come to the gay porn industry looking for work or are most of them recruited by scouts?

PS: why wouldn't you want kids?
