Anoyone of you guys have Phantasy Star Universe, or thinking of getting it? It's pretty much one of the few things I play often and long term. I was thinking it'd be cool to get a group together on there. It is an MMO style game, though not like WOW or EQ. It's like MMO lite, but it does cost I think 10 bucks a month.

Anyways, check it out and let me know if you're down.

I don't think I'm gonna be picking up PSU. The reviews I've read of it were pretty iffy, but the real reason is I just don't have time for a game like that right now. I've got a verrrry long list of games to get through and a game like PSU will eat up a lot of time, so that wouldn't be good for me right now. :(

Also, I just recently joined a gay gaming clan (the "Fraggots" ..| ) on the Playstation Network for the game Resistance: Fall of Man, so I've been spending more time with that game lately to brush up my skills with it.

Still, I'll def be on Live and hope to do some gaming with you guys. :D Most of my Live time is usually spent on Lost Planet at the moment, so anyone who's got that game, keep an eye open for me on Live (GraveDigger = gamertag) and I'll be happy to kick your butt. ;)

Thats cool, It does eat up some time. I'm a little more casual with it, since I don't have a ton of time for gaming like others do. I play games maybe 10-15 hours a week max. PSU is pretty good IMHO, but I was a PSO addict for years. The Offline aspect of PSU is kinda lame. It amounts to nothing more than a cheesy 13 episode anime. The online mode is where it's at.

I do have Lost Planet, but haven't played online yet. I wanted to go through campaign mode first. Then I got sucked back into PSU after not touching it for a month and a half (the holidays took all my time between work, my stepson, and getting xmas crap ready). If I see you online, I'll hit you up. Maybe you can frag me a couple hundred times so I can learn the ropes.

I'm not on the PSN, mainly because I'm not getting a PS3 untill there are enough games to justify me spending 600 bucks on it. I'm saving up to buy my husband and I long vacation to either Japan or Australia, whichever one he wants to go once I get the money up.

Wow! You're a nice hubby, man! I've been to Australia and it's a great country, but Japan sounds reeeeally tempting. I'd blow so much money on electronics in Japan that my wallet shudders when I just think about it. :D

And yeah, I totally understand your view on the PS3. It only has one decent exclusive game out at that moment (Resistance), but if the game library for it ends up anything like the PS2 was, it'll be awesome. I agree, though, for now that it's just not worth the price. I think Sony (the company) are a bunch of insane, arrogant assholes, but the Playstation is a great product. (Just not $600 great). #-o

I'll keep my eyes open for ya on Live when I'm on and playing Lost Planet. The multiplayer is quite fun, as is the single player campaign. The single player is an odd mixture of brainless/easy-to-kill regular enemies (humans, weaker Akrid) and then some balls-to-the-walls tough bosses! The big bad guys def will have you honing your skillz to take them down. ](*,)

Hey, doesn't PSU charge a monthly fee (on top of the Xbox Live fee) to play PSU online? I'm pretty sure I read that in the reviews of the game and that was what really killed it for me. I was tempted to try both FF11 and PSU on the 360, but I just refuse to pay an extra monthly fee for online games when I'm already paying MS $50/year for Live. (I think Live is totally worth the $, but I'm NOT going to pay more just to play certain games online). :grrr:

Good luck saving up for you and your hubby's vacation! :D

You aren't really paying an extra fee because you don't need Xbox Live Gold to play them. You're only charged an monthly fee because you aren't playing those games on Microsofts online servers. You're paying for time on Sega and Square Enix's PlayOnline servers as well as everything else that MMORPGS charge for in their monthly fees.

But I defnitely understand what you mean otherwise. I can't bring myself to pay for either game because both games don't seem like they're worth paying for.

Aaaah, really? I did not know you don't need Live to play those 2 games. Interesting. That's the first I've heard of that.

Thanx for the info. :-)

Hi all, my gamertag is: cHtC
I've been in love with DOA4 since i got it and would love to play some one from here. If u don't have DOA cause u think its just a big breasted women cat fight game geard towards str8 men, i recommend u get it cause its more than that and besides its got some hot guys in it 2. :)
also have Splinter Cell DA and thats fun online 2.
WWE and a bunch of other sport games i never play.
Have some arcade games, but mostly play MarbleBlastUltra (online is fun 2) and Geometry Wars Evolved.
See u on xboxlive :)

I've got DOA4, and I'm up to play it. I'm a bit rusty, so you'll probably kick my booty, though :)

I could stand to get the rest of the online acheivments. I'll add you, my tag is the same as my name on here, bodmodkub

Welcome to the JUB 360 club Lolito2243!!

I don't have any of the games you mentioned yet...though my favourite fighting game has to be the mortal kombat series! anyways I'll send you and invite next time I online!

If anyone wants to add me, my gamer tag is CultusFiend. As of right now, all I have is Gears of War. That game is so addicting and amazing. I just got my 360 yesterday so I'm hoping to get more games later on in the week.

Don't have GOW yet myself but I'm adding you incase we do have a common game that we can play down the road like halo 3!! :D

Haha, I'm gonna pick up Halo and Halo 2 this week. That should only run me about 50 dollars. That way, I'll be prepared and good at playing for Halo 3.

HALO 3 BETA set to Begin!

Want to get invited? Here's how.....

*******
Rule of Three Program
The "Rule of Three" program is currently planned for gamers (17 years and older) in the 50 United States (includes District of Columbia) and Canada who have access to an Xbox 360 Pro console or an Xbox 360 Core console with hard drive, a valid Xbox Live Gold subscription and the Halo 2 game.

It is a two-step process:
1. Participate in at least three hours of Halo 2 multiplayer sessions on your Xbox 360 console via Xbox Live during the three (3) day period beginning February 1st at 12:01 am EST and ending February 3rd at 11:59 pm EST.
2. After the three day window is over, head back over to www.halo3.com on February 5th and register.

If you are one of the FIRST 13,333 to do this (and meet the above requirements) you will receive an invite notification in February to participate in the Halo 3 Beta.

See you guys on Feb 1st at 12:01am! :) I'm going to try and go for it!!!

It won't matter by now for those two. Halo is pretty close to dead online. Halo 2 is so full of cheaters and spammers it's ridiculous. Bungie has addressed that and is trying to make it more balanced for Halo 3 though, so I guess practice would help. The three seconds you stay alive before some spammer kills you.

*sigh* I didn't get selected for the beta after registering for it. :( I guess I didn't sleep with the right people at Bungie. :hump:

I think I'm just gonna end up buying Crackdown to get a key to the beta. That game looks pretty decent and I'm one of the Halo-addicts/suckers that's willing to pay $60 to be able to play the beta. (Sad, I know). ;)

Good luck to you, Screwnutty, and all the other JUB-ers who try the "Rule of 3" route. ..|

I lucked out and got selected for the beta, but I've beta tested stuff for MS before, so I think that's what gave me an edge. Hell I beta tested Live before it came out, and have kept my Live membership current since then, so I think that helped, too.

One thing you guys can do to increase your chances of getting MS beta offers is to register at https://connect.microsoft.com/default.aspx?wa=wsignin1.0

When you go there you log in using your .net passport or windows live ID, then click on "available connections" on the left bar. Scroll down the list until you get to "microsoft game studios beta testing". You then fill out a form that asks you all your gaming preferences for PC and consoles.

I seriously don't get all the Halo love. Probably because I'm only a casual fan of FPS.

How did everybody do on phase two of the Halo 3 beta test finals? Me, I tried but between the cheating and the waiting...I just could not get 3 hours in on Halo 2. Looks like Crackdown is my last chance to win a spot! :)

I haven't even tried and don't plan on trying the "phase 2" option. I'm just gonna pick up Crackdown and be done with it that way. :D

Too many "squeakers" (pre-pubescent boys with high pitched voices) and cheaters in Halo 2 for me to be able to stand it much anymore.

See this comic for a hysterical definition of the dreaded "squeakers":

:D

So how is everybody enjoying CRACKDOWN? Me...I didn't pick it up. I'm waiting for a game that allows more then just two people to play with online. A game like Shadowrun that is rumoured to allow 16 people per team!

But for those of you who got CRACKDOWN, how is it? The reviews have been good but the demo just bored me. I find it hard enough to get a good game of Gears of War going. Oh I should have Rainbow Six Vegas in about 3 days I hope, Who's up for some blackjack....rainbow six style? :D
