ATTEN: Xbox 360 Owners!!

So how is everybody enjoying CRACKDOWN? Me...I didn't pick it up. I'm waiting for a game that allows more then just two people to play with online. A game like Shadowrun that is rumoured to allow 16 people per team!

But for those of you who got CRACKDOWN, how is it? The reviews have been good but the demo just bored me. I find it hard enough to get a good game of Gears of War going. Oh I should have Rainbow Six Vegas in about 3 days I hope, Who's up for some blackjack....rainbow six style? :D

Hey screwnutty!

I didn't pick it up either, the demo bored me as well, but I really enjoy the GTA series and Crackdown is as close as I can get to a multiplayer GTA until GTA IV comes out in October. So I might end up buying it soon.

I'm very interested in Shadowrun, just like a lot of other big name games that seem like they're taking FOREVER to come out. Nice to know we have the same interest in games. Hopefully we'll be playing on the same team on some of them soon.

Well for Xboxlive this week.....

Monday is the release date for the Multiplayer demo of Ghost Recon 2: Advance Warfighter

and this week's arcade game is suppose to be Alien Homand!

Where the hell is.....

Worms, Catan, Symphony of the Night, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles the Arcade game.

Is Alien Hominid Live multiplayer? Because that'd be sweet.

Yes, still waiting for me some Worms and TMNT goodness. I can play SotN elswhere for the time being. All this reminds me I need to go get some more MS points soon.

Alien Hominid is only playable on live throught the PDA missions? (never played the game so I don't know what this is). The storyline is one player only :(

According to Gamespot:

Originally conceived as a Flash-based PC game in 2002, Alien Hominid arrived on the US PlayStation 2 and GameCube in 2004, with European gamers also receiving Xbox, Game Boy Advance, and mobile phone editions. Now, as the title transitions to XBLA, the game will offer high-definition visuals along online multiplayer support for four people in the mini-games. Offline, two gamers can play through the main game, while the minigames support up to four players at once.

Alien Hominid HD will be available for 800 Microsoft Points ($10) and is rated T for Teen.

Okay. Thanks Ranphi. Anyone else getting it this Wednesday?

I'd love it if the next few Wednesdays went like this:

Alien Hominid (Feb 28 )
TMNT (Mar 7)
Castle Crashers (Mar 14)
C: SotN (Mar 21)
Heavy Weapon (Mar 28 )

T-U-R-T-L-E Power!

Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael and Michelangelo have been sighted on Xbox Live’s Partnernet by various videogame fan-sites over the weekend, but in this instance they are appearing in their 1989 arcade guise, in what is set to be a straight port of the title to Microsoft's own Live Arcade. And while the game was originally developed by Konami, Ubisoft now own the franchise rights for home console Turtle games (and are of course developing an all new TMNT title to tie-in with the forthcoming movie). So for the time being at least, a temporary partnership has been struck between the two devs allowing this classic beat'em-up to see the light of day once again.

That the XBLA game screen is also bordered by character artwork sourced from the summer blockbuster suggests that Ubisoft will release the Arcade version in conjunction with, or leading up to, the new Turtles retail release.

The Xbox 360 version is also continuing its predecessors co-op styling’s by offering online multiplayer options, meaning you can unite with Turtle lovers around the world and get down to some serious kung-fu fighting.

Ain't those Canadian's a bunch of lucky bastards. The best the U.S. can offer at Gamestop are deals where you have to trade in only new-gen games, and even then you wouldn't get it completely free. I have loads of PS2 or GC games they can have for that deal, lol.

We have Crackdown and I am still trying to find the building with the first person I have to murk out.

Gamer ID Tag is SeijnSei and I'm always up for a game of Uno. I rather like the arcade games better than the full fledged dvd ones. We have about 14 arcade games so far.

Fuck! Who has Worms? I stupidly bought Alien Hominid with the majority of my points and now I don't have enough to buy Worms. I just bought a new computer so I don't even have enough money to renew my live subscription when it expires next week, let alone buy some of those damn MS points.

We have WORMS. Can't quite figure out the premise though.

Just bumping this thread because I've noticed alot of new posters are posting there gamertags looking for friends on Xboxlive. Please note that the majority of ppl on this thread have 360's but that it is for all gamertags...even original xbox tags! :)

thanks and look forward to gaming with you! Also to remind everybody that Halo 3 is scheduled for November release. We'll have to see if anybody is still interested in doing a JUB clan.

im over half way through gears now and will soon be looking to have a few multi player games so if you want to add me.. go ahead :) metroguy1978

Okay what is an HDMI port? Well home theatre nerds would describe it like this.....

******
The High-Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) is an all-digital audio/video interface capable of transmitting uncompressed streams. HDMI is compatible with High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection (HDCP) Digital Rights Management technology. HDMI provides an interface between any compatible digital audio/video source, such as a set-top box, a DVD player, a PC, a video game system, or an AV receiver and a compatible digital audio and/or video monitor, such as a digital television (DTV). In 2006, HDMI began to appear as a feature on prosumer, HDTV camcorders and even high-end digital still cameras.[1][2][3]

It is a modern replacement for older analogue standards such as RF - Coax, SCART, Composite Video, Component Video, VGA, DVI-A, and RCA connectors, and the consumer electronics replacement for older digital standards such as DVI (DVI-D & DVI-I). In the computer world, HDMI is already found on many peripherals and a few newer video cards, with adoption rapidly increasing.

**********

Did you get all that? :) Basically do you have an HD TV? If you do, then you'll have a HDMI port.

Now the question is do you get an "ELITE" or the "PRO" version. (smart move in not getting the core version! ;) )

The elite is awesome if you have an HD tv, or are planning on getting an HD tv within the life of this console. The extra hard drive space is used to download tv shows and movies that Microsoft makes available.....CURRENTLY NOT AVAILABLE IN CANADA! IT'S ONLY A US THING AS IT STANDS! The elite will come out priced (rumoured) around the same price as a Playstation 3. The "pro" version is staying at the same price of "499.99" Canadian.

The 120 gig hard drive will be sold seperately for $179.99 Canadian.

I have still have 13.5 gigs left on mine (originally 20 gig but the xbox memory and stuff (think windows) use up about 6 gig that you can't remove) and I'm fine with that.

Hope this helps Effortless Pro!
