Screwnutty, not all HDTV's have HDMI ports, but most recent ones do. I'm rather fond of the white 360 though, although the black looks nice, I have a fondness for white electronics.

Anyone here getting GH 2 tomorrow? I'm really excited for that game.
 
HDMI is not found on all HDTVs, a lot of older HDTVs (like mine) only have DVI and or VGA ports. You can get an HDMI to DVI converter cable ( I have one for my DVD player).

I can honstly say there isn't a HUGE difference in picture quality from component run at 1080i and HDMI run in 1080p. There is a tiny difference, but nothing that makes it super better.

I kind of think the Elite is a mistake on Microsoft's part. At $480 US, it's only 20 bucks cheaper than the 20 gig PS3, with no HD-DVD drive. built in.
Sure the hard drive is bigger than the PS3s by 100 gigs, but most people aren't going to use that much space. I still have 8 gigs free on my 20gig drive, and I've had the 360 since launch day. *shrug*

I will be getting black controllers, though. They do look neat, and won't look as dirty as the white ones get (I have a 10 year old step son, and I got him his own controller, because he's apprently incapable of washing his hands unless I follow him around)
 
I prefer the white and wish my PS3 was white so all three systems would match. I have to say it'd be nice to have that HDMI port but the 120 GIG HDD means nothing to me considering I barely use the 20 gig one for anything outside gamesaves.

BTW-my Gametag expired (Indreama) a couple weeks ago for those who've added me. I play as my other account 'Death Written' for the time being. If you want to take me off your list, I understand. I'll be Indreama again sometime later, just not sure when.
