  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

Attitude Given at the Job Fair @ McDonalds!

So we're going there again?

On topic, dangly earrings are prohibited jewelry in the fast food industry, along with hoops, and low hanging necklaces. If he was wearing those and exhibiting even the slightest tude while applying for the job, who in their right mind would hire him, only to have to confront him about removing the earrings while at work? Less hassle to just let him pass on by.

Off topic, Mystic, when are you going to realize that we gay people shouldn't have to fight for our rights? They are given to us when we are born here. In my mind acceptance is ideal, but equality is guaranteed. The only reason we don't have them is because the majority of people here don't believe we aren't born this way. They think we choose it. The same way you think effeminate men choose to be effeminate. And really it's true, we all choose to do the things we do and say the things we say because it makes us happy and it feels good, it doesn't mean we are seeking attention, it just means we are being ourselves. When you say, "why can't they just act normal", what your really saying is "why can't they be like me." Well, they're not you, they're them. And we'll never have any of the things we want until you and your ilk learn how to respect the differences in people. aagghh, end rant.

I think the problem with people is that you aren't living in reality. You are too caught up on being idealistic, as opposed to realistic.

If you were Gay and born back in 1900, do you really think it would be realistic to have Equality and Gay rights in your lifetime? No. That just wasn't the right place and time.

Fast forward to the year 2009, and it still might not be the right lifetime for Homsexuality to be accepted by a majority of Americans. You think just because we are in the hear and now, and because it is your lifetime, that things are going to necessarily be any different?

Homosexuality may still not be tolerable by a majority of Americans even before our lifetime is over. All I am doing is being more realistic about more refined methods that would actually increase our chances of seeing Gay Rights and Equality before our lives actually come to an end. And yes, it involves acting normal.

Gays as a group fighting for rights are very disorganized and act with little disregard to the rest of the population. They are going to do what they are going to do, and they don't care what anyone else thinks .... and they still expect to be treated with acceptance and equality. Doesn't work that way, folks. Ask Blacks if that approach necessarily worked or not.

You need to be tactful if you want something out of society. You can't just expect to act however you want to act, and expect the red carpet to be laid out for you.

With that being said, if you want to be treated just like everybody else, then you need to start acting like everyone else, and respect the societal norms, unlike the gentleman in the video. You don't like what I have to say? Then, keep on doing what you are doing, and years later when you are still wondering why society hates you, then maybe at some point it will sink in. People don't like straight attention whores. Why would they like Gay attention whores, like that clown?

blacks didnt act like everyone else, and asked to be treated the same, and they are for the most part.

neither did asians, hispanics, etc etc.

no one should have to conform to your narrow view of how a man and a women should act. and they won't, luckily you have no power and will die in obscurity like the rest of the gay homophobes who populate the world.

you should brush up on your gay history though hun. the people who started the whole gay rights movement were out there, proud homosexuals.

you should read up on Harvery Milk and Stonewall. Of course, you will discount Milk simply because he was fem. Despite all the work he did, and him never giving up, and never backing down to oppression.

but alas *yawn*

the guy in the OP video is more himself then you will ever be. unlike you, he isn't ashamed of who he is, and how he acts. he has more courage to be himself then you do.

Well said, Wizzard --
A long time ago - i attended seminars on "men and women at work" -- it was a 70's thing -- everybody should work together --- the minorites were being integrated - women were being promoted so it was a timely thing...

HOWEVER ---when you got to the end of the two days -- you found out -- if you stayed awake - that it was other WOMEN who were women's worst enemy -in the workplace --
While the good ol'boys would stick up for each other - (including coverups) women were not soo saavy - they were much too busy being cattey - and bitchy, and jealous of some other woman's big titts -- thebottom line is - THEY DIDN'T SUPPORT EACH OTHER -- when they had every opportunity to do so - and it make their "struggle" all the harder>.. Even as a "collective group" of women - they didn't embrace their minority sisters either - and that did nothing for the cause....
same thing here --- as stated above -- it takes a lot of "togetherness" - to have an impact - and as nice as
:We're queer - we're here - get over it" sounds --- it too is way too much "attitude" to "make an impact and effect the changes "wanted".

I tried to watch this, but couldn't get past two minutes of it. I was reminded of that woman who had epileptic fits whenever she heard Mary Hart's voice. I did, however, look at some of the other videos this person has created - he's posted 241 videos so far.

I'm not totally convinced that this incident actually happened. Looking at some of the other videos, he seems to have a penchant for telling some outrageous stories. He should consider doing a standup act, perhaps in the line of Flip Wilson's Geraldine character.

His name is Qaadir Sumadi. He's a 20 year old transexual.

His YouTube profile:
Age : 20 (in 2009)
http://www.youtube.com/user/Timaya

Timaya aka Qaadir is a transsexual youtuber. As of July 2009, his/her channel has over 21,000 subscribers and still growing.

Having a natural gift for storytelling, Qaadir makes awkward situations (like stepping in human feces or being attacked by roaches) in comedic genius. But making people laugh isn’t all Qaadir does. He shares personal advice and his voice to encourage growth and positivity in those in need. However, his actions are not strictly bound to the digital domain. Qaadir also organizes a fitness group in Atlanta to promote healthy living through dance and free-form of aerobics.

Despite the “shade” that may be thrown his way, Qaadir remains one of the nicest and most down to earth up-and-coming E-celebs around. He continues to move forwards as he directs the haters to the left.

But back to the McDonald video - I wonder, did he walk into McDonald's with full makeup, lipstick and earrings? Working behind the counter, he would be the face of McDonalds, the worker that customers would see. Any business is going to want to hire someone who won't "put people off," so to speak, and would fit in well with the other workers. Also, there's the "attitude," which he definitely has. Most businesses won't hire anyone who has an "attitude" and will eventually fire those that develop one while on the job.

But ... but .... but ... none of that is supposed to matter. People are supposed to accept everyone, no matter what they look like, right?

................

Just goes to show that some of us live in the real world, and others unfortunately, are more concerned with their ideologies, that they simply "don't give a shit what anyone else thinks about them or their appearance .... because they are going to do whatever they want to do .... and God damnit, they had better be accepted with open arms."

And Gays who act like this wonder why society isn't embracing them.

He sounds like Ruby Rhod from The Fifth Element.

But now I know how nails on a chalkboard feels to other people.

LOL

that's who I thought it was [ or at least the actor who played that character ]

Tell him to shut the fuck up and fill out those apps online.

and the next person to use that stupid fucking line "gays like him make me ashamed to be gay" need to first do some self reflection, second get off the drugs, and third, worry about themselves, because the only gay guy that represents me, is me.

qft. but you know there are those who can't get past that. such as...

^^^Good, you do that.

And when you wonder why it is taking Gays longer to get their rights, then maybe it will sink into your mind.

The problem with people like you is that you don't want to make concessions. And that is only prolonging progress in this country as far as Gay Rights is concerned.

i don't recall blacks not acting "black" or women not acting like "women" to secure their equal rights. your argument is flawed.

I love Ruby Rhod!

Corbin! Corbin Dallas! Corbin! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH *shoots grugnaught*

I'm watchin' that shit tonight on Blu-Ray

now i want to watch it!! damn you derek. ;)

:=D: :=D: :=D: Amen. If guys like him truly make you feel ashamed about being gay, chances are it has nothing to do with his flamboyant persona, you're just a failure at life in general. ..|

And really can anyone honestly imagine Miss Thang here working at the drive-thru, dealing with customers and preparing food all day with that snappy ass attitude. Ms. African lady did you a favor by not letting you use her pen.

Ok Moe can you please tell me how you really feel??...lol...

Oh god, it was only a matter of time for the people with the problem pointing fingers to someone else so they don't have to take responsibility for their problem.

In short, the problem is not with the effeminate gay guys. It's yourself. The problem with homosexuality is the people who have a problem with it.

Mystik, living in the real world means taking responsibility for yourself and not pointing fingers at others or caring what others do. From the looks of it, you're not doing anything about 'our' image either, so I wouldn't talk.

Well, look at it this way. If you want to say that "the problem is with me", then you can go along and say that "the problem is with the 60-70% of the population, as well."

So go ahead and say that, if that makes you feel good about yourself. Meanwhile, Gays want rights right now ... and because of people like you who are not taking the rest of the population into consideration and nor do you care what the rest of the population thinks ... while essentially telling them to "shove it" .... they will continue denying you rights because of the misconceptions they have about homosexuality and the traits and attitudes of Gay people.

You want to put the cart before the horse, essentially. So all I am saying is don't give me your attitude when you keep wondering why it's taking so long for Society to stop hating Gay people and denying them Rights.

Change comes in stages. People like you, which also have the same mindset as many, many Gays out there, don't want to play the Game. Then, you bitch and whine when you don't get your way and scratch your head as to why.

He's like a gay Chris Tucker. Yet, somehow with a higher pitched voice. Of course, he didn't get the job. You can't walk into a place and act like you're above the establishment. You need THEM for employment.

lol he kinda didn't. If you watched, he was very respectful despite them not being respectful to him. Not to mention they only had one opening and it was called a job fair.

i love Qaadir, he's hilarious. Just last week someone's website called him the "ghetto B.Scott". B.Scott said that he rather be dead in a ditch, and Qaadir had to come for that ass on his blog show. It was funny to watch.

HAHAH! That guy is funny as hell. He knows how to tell a good story. That made my morning.
