If one is going to post something of the sort, or basically any kind of gross-out picture or video, it should be common courtesy to offer a warning and some spoiler space between the warning and the image.

Most of us would not just walk up to someone on the street and show them pictures of gross or upsetting acts. While people come here willingly, they're still strangers, and it shouldn't be too much to ask for people to show some consideration towards others.

That being said, if you're not sure what it is you're about to watch, you should proceed with caution.

Well see that is my fault. I specifically put Dookie into the OP because I wanted to convey that dookie was going to occur in that video.

I honestly had no idea there were alternate meanings for dookie.

Well, it's obvious at this point that this was mostly a misunderstanding, with ALL the fault belonging to me. Even had my assessment of the situation been correct, I overreacted; and it was not.

I'm sorry for the things I said to you--and for ranting in general, but I was especially unfair and way out of line with regard to you, and I sincerely apologize. I know that's not as good as not having done it, but it's all I can do.

ETA: I don't agree that it's your fault. Everyone I've asked knew that meaning of the word 'dookie', and none reported any others. I did not, but that lack was mine and not in any way your fault. (Apparently the meaning I knew ("cold and clammy") is unique to my family.)

Yes, I misused the word scat. I meant "pictures or videos showing shit," and scat has a meaning beyond that. I should have just said what I meant and not tried to shorthand it.

Me too! That's hilarious. I only mean actual pictures (photos, videos) of actual real shit. Banning cartoons like that one would be ridiculous and I certainly don't advocate anything of the sort.

I took it to mean that apologies have been said, opinions have been shared, explanations have been given, and there probably isn't a whole lot more to say on the topic that wouldn't be killing and then beating a horse.

That would be pretty much what it sounded like. But threads die when no one comments on them, not because someone decides enough has been said. And IMO we still haven't come up with a good solution to the problem.
