It's what we've been doing since day 1 my friend. Difference is, this time it's an unknown, half-black person. These standards and qualifications and requisites didn't exist for the most part until now.
Find me a politician that doesn't and I'll paint your whole house for free, and pay for the supplies myself, you just pick out the color(s).
Once again, that's what we've been doing all along. People voted for Bush cuz he seemed like a good drinking buddy. The very reason we've had 43 white presidents is because people vote for what's familiar to them. If you think people have been voting for the right reasons all this time, you've got another thing comin'.
what is this moral equivalency thing that liberals love?
just because all this has happened in the past does it make it right?
btw --- as far as this:
Difference is, this time it's an unknown, half-black person. These standards and qualifications and requisites didn't exist for the most part until now.
you couldn't be more wrong.
Many of the past presidents had Excellent resumes which often included Executive experience.
I just don't understand the mindset such as yours.
For some reason it doesn't matter that Obama lacks executive experience to be president, but Sarah Palin is unqualified as a VP even though she HAS executive experience.
Now, you're saying that Bush's Executive Experience didn't matter, instead, people wanted to vote in a drunk president because it made them feel better about themselves?
This a very twisted way of thinking, scewed logic.

You don't think white people vote for white people just because they're white? They should add that to the Supremacist pamphlet: "Only blacks vote based on color."
