Barebacking appreciation thread

Criostoir, you're funny. We're off topic. On the substantive subject of this thread, I suppose I don't earn your wrath, because I'm one of those who is having sex without condoms and I know with my partner that the risk is very very very low.

On your position that no one is allowed to come into this thread and disagree with that, you just haven't made your case. Then again I usually see Jehovah's at the door as a source of amusement. I don't get annoyed and angst-y about it because there's no risk involved in entertaining myself with them. I am just as amused by pious insistence that everyone who posts in a thread has to be of the same mind as the original poster, or as the poster who objects to something he doesn't like, etc.

Just thought I'd add my opp. Im brand new on here, just found this site, but I really enjoy BB'ing.
Im bttm havent taken that much cock BB so far, but really enjoyed when i have,
I know the risks but im prepared to take the consenquences.
I was just after peoples opinions on the differance between condoms and bb ie the feeling?

paniam, that's discussed at length (with the usual intrusions from the [STRIKE]Jehovah's Witnesses[/STRIKE] safe sex evangelists) in this thread.

You know, ordinarily I find it irritating that the Ignore feature still shows you that the Ignoree has made a comment, but just at the moment I'm finding it quite satisfactory.

My Ignore list just rose to a grand total of four people. Not something I do a lot. I feel certain that the latest addition to it will regard that as some sort of victory, trolls being what they are.

A lot of coal miners end up with black lung, been happening for a generation +, but if you found a mine hiring today there would be people lined out the door.
A lot of fisherman in Alaska get wiped out year after year as "Deadliest Catch" shows.
A lot of people that went to Vietnam or Iraq didn't make it back, or there life is fucked due to injury , it hasn't stopped people from joining the infantry.
A lot of people get blasted and mutilated dealing petty drugs on the corner, but it isn't stopping the flow of new low level dealers at a young age to getting into that illegal gig.
A lot of people get knocked off trying to climb Mt. Everest every year, and they pay big big ass dollars for the thrill. The terrible deaths and extreme conditions hasn't slowed down the flow of new hikers waiting for the thrill.
A lot of people get the shit kicked out of them, fucked up injured, & just dead working for the minimum wage at the local graveyard shift at 7-11, but there is no shortage of people hiring up for those great jobs.
A lot of people get in a car everyday and get wiped out or fubar'd in horrible ways but people get into cars. Much more dangerous then flying however no one gives it a second thought. Likely the majority of people know someone who has been maimed, killed, or in a severe auto accident
A lot of people shoot off big ass illegal dangerous fireworks on the 4th or New Years and get killed or burned up to live out their days, but they do it to see the sky flowers and pay big fucks to buy this shit. Laws and things don't stop them they do it because they want to.

...Point is not diminish the very real health threat of HIV however one must weigh out the risk verse return for whatever job or activity they decide to take and that is what a porn actor is , its a job.
There are a million examples of hobbies, jobs, & daily risk we take that we decide are worth the risk. Its a personal thing.

This is an irresponsible mismatch of analogies. To equate people working for a living, defending their country, and trying to get to their place of work (so they can eat and live) with fools barebacking or mountain climbing for cheap unnecesary thrills (or to pay for illegal drugs) is a fool's errand.

I just don't agree with putting hard workers and heros in the same league as thrill-seekers and self-destructors who have addictive personalities.

Lol. To this day, I've never put anyone on ignore. I like to take opinions raw from any stranger who will lay one on me. I'm kinky that way.

I suppose one day I could get a bad opinion that I don't like, but that is my risk to take, isn't it?

"I actually find it boring and annoying when people get upset about hearing someone who doesn't agree with them".

Nice try. This is nothing but a cliche cloaked in euphemism. "Oh I just 'disagree' with your opinion". This is not people having differing opinions. This is several busy-bodies having not cleaned their own skeletons, deluding themselves into thinking they have moral authority to scold others for their behavior when they do not. And here's a little secret- NO ONE except those abstaining from sex have can (WITH integrity) lecture to anyone ,about "safe" sex because they [those abstaining] would actually be practicing what they preach.

So... cue the moral gods.
Cue the AIDS and other STD/STI's talk.
Cue the "in my generation, this happened" speeches.
Cue the "you're not responsible, and i would NEVER" taunts.
Cue the "bareback = slut, gross, ikky poo yucky" judgments(though that'd be ironic considering this guys' name).
And most surprisingly, cue the "when you start to wither and die, i don't want to be the one paying for your health care" bullshit.

Oh, the CliffsNotes version.

Now here's the nuanced part. Yeah, two loads feels good. Barebacking with my monogamous man is fun, and won't get me killed

Cue the, "You're assuming your man is faithful and it may not be worth the risk," responses.

Oh, come on. Splatter just forgot that response in his succint outline.

---------------
Personally, I enjoy reading the responses, even if I've seen them before. In my experiences, straight people just aren't that passionate about raw sex one way or the other, so I've learned a lot from the different viewpoints on here. I didn't grow up in the AIDS error, but I did see its aftermath. I was around 10 yrs. old when Ryan White got kicked out of school out of fear of his HIV status. It's interesting how opinions about safe sex seem to have pretty clear generational lines.

JUB has a lot of regulars, which is one of the things that make it so enjoyable. Unfortunately, some of us get used to hearing the same opinions or the same discussions, so we can get pretty bored w/ them. It becomes more of a, "yeah, you've said that many times before...next." And, of course we all know that the barebacking, incest, and racial threads are sure to derail. The OP will be called a troll, several folks will get into a tither, and on and on the cycle goes.

I guess it's hard to remember that there are newbies who join from time to time and plenty of lurkers on scene as well. Some things might need to be said more than once. Maybe some personal opinions have changed w/ the individuals life experiences. Yep, any day now there'll be thought provoking post on poo, uncut cocks, or vaginas that will enlighten us all and make us pause to think.

.................................It also annoys me when people keep coming in whenever barebacking is being discussed or even mentioned, and ranting about safe sex and telling us we're all going to die horribly of HIV. ..........................................We ALL know the Gospel Of Safe Sex.

...................................;. You're being boring and annoying, to the point that I'd call what you're doing trolling. I just wish you'd go away.

I suppose if you have just put me on "ignore" that you will not be reading this but I will post anyway.

Being an open forum I have always considered that everyone had the right to participate whether they agreed or disagreed with the majority or minority and I think that my participation here is justified, even if I do manage to annoy some members.

But you are perfectly within your rights to complain about the direction that our participation has taken as the thread was about "appreciation" and not the "pros and cons" of barebacking.

Nope, I haven't. I only have four people on my Ignore list. I reserve it for the most egregious trolls.

But you are perfectly within your rights to complain about the direction that our participation has taken as the thread was about "appreciation" and not the "pros and cons" of barebacking.

That's one complaint. The other is the tediousness of hearing the same stuff every. damn. time. barebacking is discussed.

Well, there's only so much you can say about it. It's not like we're discussing the meaning and symbolism found w/in Shakespear's plays, or the possible madness behind Einstien's genius. Hell, it's just barebacking. I'm not sure you can conjure up an entirely original discussion about the matter.

Don't worry dpnice, I think its clear that I'm the one being ignored. As the text below points out, when they run out of points, some people enjoy cutting off debate by accusing those who disagree with them of being trolls. Of course calling someone else a troll hardly counts as an argument.

Application of the term troll is highly subjective. Some readers may characterize a post as trolling, while others may regard the same post as a legitimate contribution to the discussion, even if controversial. The term is often used as an ad hominem strategy to discredit an opposing position by attacking its proponent.

As far as this thread, I'm pretty sure there is an "On Topic" button that can be attached to a thread when the intent is to be restrictive as to the type of posting that should be encouraged. Without that kind of flag, I think it is better and more enjoyable to just let the thread wander, like a natural human conversation in the real world.

In an open forum, you are free to disagree with people who like something, and even comment on it. It makes for a better thread than just hearing from yes-men all the time, and hearing disagreeing positions helps me make up my own mind about something.

In my view, a thread can accommodate more than one idea. In this thread, people chose to post on the subject of barebacking. I did, and I said I like it in the right context. From the earliest few posts however, people also chose to call out what they think of as moralizing. Well, I responded to that too. I could have reported those posts as being off-topic, but I think that is a sad solution compared to just chipping in with my two cents, in a forum called Hot Topics.

Particularly since a debate about the ethics of barebacking is part of what people need to know about barebacking. And though I don't really wish hard feelings, I am getting a chuckle from the unintentional satire: the moralizing going on here that only unadulterated bareback cheerleading should be occurring and anything else is in fact horrible nasti moralizing.

I'm an incrementalist in practice. I believe that each time we go through the exercise of staging these debates, the argument advances subtly.

And the people who complain about how bored they are that we're "going through this again" don't realize that they are, unknowingly, part of a process that eventually leads to something surprising occurring.

It's not just boredom. It's anger at being continually harassed by a bunch of concern trolls (subtype SST - Safe Sex Trolls).
