Big Brother 13 CBS

Point is, she really would have won that competition (Erika was going to throw it to her) and she would have won final round and won all stars.

There is absolutely NO WAY to know how Janelle would've performed in the final round of that HOH, even if she won Part 1. I know Janelle says she knew all the answers to Part 3 but...hello? It's easy to say that after the fact. That doesn't mean shit. You know what IS fact? Janelle got answers wrong in that same competition on BB6 and ended up losing it to Ivette. IVETTE! So there's no way to tell if she would've won that Final HOH against Boogie and more importantly, she didn't.

I know there are at least two other fans of her here so let's recall the awesomely batshit Sheila. "I would have died DIED! Thank you Thank yeeew!" All with bug-eye emphasis.

Slipintothefog you really need to make some GIFs of this GIF-able bitch. Yew Know??

I hope so too. He's actually playing this season and has survived so many nominations and general bullshit from Allison Grodner. It would be a shame to see him leave with so many floaters in the house and someone slimy like Dan and Ian still in.

its amazing how we all have our favorites.

havent you seen how FRANK has been a bully and yelling. I mean i tried to give frank a chance with boogie gone but i feel he is an asshole and i am glad he is gone

Good. Ian didn't get any special power. Frank goes this week and unless Ian gets POV next week, he will follow Frank.

(Although why would they even do a Pandora's Box just to give lame presents and lame Jessie?)

they did that so they can get us and the viewers used to idea that pandoras box will njow be a part of the show anytime we need to RIGGG IT for our own benefit.

mind control

Yeah, I've seen his "bullying." Like when he "bullied" Ian who lied to him and backstabbed him just for shits and giggles. I also saw Frank's "bullying" when he cussed out Joe after getting himself off the block for maybe the 4th time. Joe hasn't played one day in this house. I understand Frank's frustration.

Dan used the PoV on Jenn (obviously to repay the favor from last week) Ian nominated Joe in her place.

Dan was walking by Joe and Joe called him a "piece of shit."

That was very sweet of Dan to repay Jenn.

some one referred to Joe as the Jerry of the season, but wouldnt that mean he would actually have to win a comp? lmao

i HATED Jerry, but he won 2 HOH (one was the crapshoot voting one) and 2 POVs, so is Joe the target this time around, since everyone seems to hate him. or is frank really the target, but no one is telling him.

and also about pandora box, its not always a power in the game. i remember season 12 when lane opened the box and there was a tree with money, and the bad punishment was like no cups or forks for the week and dancing, lol

Yes, Dan obviously would've wanted to win either veto last week. He couldn't. For someone who had poor social gaming skills, like say Frank, it would seal their fate. That's why it's more important for Frank to win a comp than it is for someone like Frank. He can't survive without it. He could've very EASILY slithered up to Ian, explained Dan and Dani flipped on the quackers and then when Dan vetoed Jenn Dani would've been put up. But Frank didn't do that because he couldn't do that. He doesn't know how to see his demise and he doesn't know how to maneuver others.

I think there's a relatively big difference between someone like Dan, who doesn't win many comps but actively influences the direction of the game, and Jenn, who only tries to avoid the crosshairs without ever paying much attention to the behind the scenes mechanics or attempting to influence the nomination/voting process. One of them is working the game. The other is floating.

The game doesn't have a 'how to' guide on which is the best or most respectable way. I personally think that being an active social player who doesn't RELY on wins is a better player than one who simply does better in random physical/memory competitions against opponents who are clearly not evenly matched. In sports/games that are meant to be based strictly on that kind of athletic ability competitors are only ever stacked up against people of like similar conditions. There are weight classes in boxing. Bobby Fischer doesn't play chess against some random schmuck on the street. Because these games are MEANT to be about one component that two competitors of similar skill engage in to determine who is the best. No shit Frank can outrun Jenn or Joe in a comp about racing back and forth. We could've told you that on day one. Why have a competition if that's all you're basing it off of. But of course that's NOT what the competition is all about. That physical race is ONE component in a multi-faceted game. Being good at it has some great advantages, temporary power and safety, but it also has some disadvantages, incurring the ire of those who wind up on the wrong side of your power. That's why you need to play a rounded game if you truly want to play the game well

I think it's harder. I think it's smarter. I think it requires a lot more of a deft hand. I don't care if people are dishonorable or underhanded, it's assumed to be part of the game. (Whereas on a show like Top Chef or Project Runway where people sign up to compete based on a specific skill set I find social manipulation off putting. But social manipulation is the special skill being tested in a game like Big Brother) I respect it. Perhaps it's because I myself have never been a super athletic type. I think it's entitled and off-putting that the people who win these competitions feel ENTITLED to win the game without participating in the social aspect. You can be good at comps if you want to exhibit hard control on the house but you still need to play the social game. You need to accept your good with your bad and make up for those disadvantages with your social gameplay. It can certainly be done. Drew did it in BB4. Hayden did it in BB12. Both young, fit, men with strong competition records. But they didn't rely on it. They actively maintained a part in an alliance. Build vital relationships with members outside their alliance, in case they couldn't win a comp. They worked the full game, 24/7, not just a few hours a week during comps. And they didn't go around the house stamping and whining about how they DESERVED to be overlooked when they couldn't win because they had won often.

Right on the nose falconfan!

This is TOO funny. So apparently Dan went to bed last night (the lights were out) and Joe started whispering to him thinking he was Shane. Joe said, "Dan chased me in here" trying to tell Shane everything Dan just told him and Dan was like, "Uh...this IS Dan." LMAO! Joe tried to play it off like he knew it was Dan and it was all a joke but it clearly wasn't and today he's been fretting about it with Shane. The real Shane.

YA THINK!? I really only steal my GIFs from Survivor Sucks and Tumblr though. I'm surprised there aren't more Sheila GIFs out there since she's fairly popular on Sucks, know that.

Hmmm...if they were smart, they would vote out Frank this week. I know that he can't play HOH next week, but Joe is just useless.

Regarding the Shane/Danielle relationship - does anyone know why they haven't been intimate or kissed? For example, Shane just doesn't want to do it on camera, etc.

Everyone seems to think it's because Shane is gayer than Christmas, dear. He's even said "I'm bisexual" "jokingly" on more than one occasion just to get Danielle to back up off him.

Big Brother Finale Wednesday the 19th 9:30-11:00PM EDT

Right after Survivor Philippines premiere from 8:00-9:30

MTV The Challenge: Battle of the Seasons premieres at 10:00PM

If Frank leaves this week, I'm done watching the feeds until the finale/ Its already somewhat unbearable but with him gone it'll be torture.

I truly hope Danielle, Jenn, or Joe don't make it to the final 2. I'm not a huge fan of Dan but if he makes it to finale 2 (being a coach and already having won), he deserves it. I could also see Ian winning if he got Final 2 for likability or sympathy. Shane is meh, he's dumber than a box of rock and gayer than a pride parade but he's done well in comps, so I can see he winning also.

If you take posts from the competition queens in this thread, and apply them to this show rather than Big Brother, they would make a LOT more sense.

JESUS H CHRIST here we go again. It looks like the DR tipped off Frank that they were voting him out this week (instead of just letting the blindside happen which would be more dramatic and therefore better TV) and he started throwing Dan under the bus to Danielle. Danielle told Dan who got pissed and the whole thing culminated in BB threatening them all with penalty votes/nominations if they keep mentioning the DR. There were a LOT of cuts to fish and trivia today as a result.

The plan to blindside Frank continued in earnest though. They all went back to assuring him he's safe even though they all plan to vote him out (except Jenn I think?). But god it's annoying that production would try to save Frank a second time after outright canceling his eviction weeks ago for no reason. And it would have made for great TV back then too because Boogie and Frank would've been completely blindsided.

I love how Grodner keeps trying to create drama but when actual drama brews she always stifles it.

She is really killing this show as much as Probst is killing Survivor these days, isn't she?

And don't forget Idol's Lythgoe. Oh wait no...it's AMERICA that's killing Idol. Which proves that the only thing worse than production rigging is letting America decide. And since BB hasn't stooped that low (yet), I guess I should be grateful?
