I didn't watch the live feeds or After Dark this season, and I really didn't keep up with the BB message boards, so I really only saw the CBS show, which has left me wondering what you guys are talking about re: Danielle. All I saw was a doormat who let Dan do all her thinking for her...what did I miss?
I was rooting for Ian...but I have to admit that Dan was the better player...which is to be expected. He's older and has more life experience, he's not socially awkward, he's played and won before, and he had pretty much a free ride for the first 4 weeks. Still he proved himself a master of the game. I hesitate to say he was robbed, because he made some crucial mistakes:
1. All the swearing on the Bible, on his wife, his wedding ring, whatever. Personally I have no problem with any of that whatsoever, but we've seen in past seasons that many people don't take kindly to that kind of stuff (remember Matt's wife's phony illness and how offended everyone was over it?)...especially if you're trying to paint yourself as Mr. Christian. I think it became an easy way for him to get people to believe him, but he could have accomplished the same things without crossing that line. Made it real easy for people to vote against him at the end.
2. Losing the final HOH...whether he threw it or not. I'm not convinced he did, but if he did it was a major blunder, and if he didn't, he could have and should have won it.
3. His SHITTY performance in the juror questioning and final speech. The transparent ass-kissing of each and every jury member wasn't believable, and neither was all the fake apologizing. What he should have said was "it's a GAME, motherfuckers. My job was to lie to you, deceive you, backstab you, and remove you from the game, and I accomplished it with ruthless efficiency. I brought myself back from certain eviction by hosting my own funeral! I blatantly screwed over my doormat Danielle time after time, and she was STILL going to take me to the final 2! I got her to take me off the block and put up her boyfriend, who I then voted out! I had final two and final three deals with just about all of you, and none of you knew! If I'd won final HOH, I was going to evict Ian, and he didn't even know it. He took me to the final 2, which proves I'm a better player than him. I played EVERYBODY in the house from the reset on. You're entitled to your anger and your bitterness, but if you vote with your head, based on all the evidence, you have no other choice than to pick me. Now give me my money!!!!!!"
Yes, he was denied by a bitter jury (I HATE bitter juries that vote based on emotion and revenge, but it is part of the game that has to be taken into consideration and dealt with, and he failed to do so), but at least Ian was a worthy winner. If he'd lost to his doormat Danielle, I'd have been royally pissed.
Congrats to the endearing dweeb Ian! I hope the half million buys him lots of nerdgirl pussy.
