I have SO much respect for Kalia after that. She argued with nothing at stake. She's not a gay person., she just fundamentally knew he was being a bigot and she stood up for what was right. And I'm so disgusted that Rachel, Brendan and Daniele sat there and said nothing (I assume they all know better than Jeff).

The thing that's so exasperating too is that Jeff really thought he was being "logical" and "realistic" and that Kalia was just giving a "PC answer." To Jeff then, being open minded about gay people is just an inconvenience, a "politically correct" answer that has no place in the real world. He really truly believed this which is why he kept telling Kalia, "Don't act like you don't know what I'm talking about" and because she knows he's wrong, she's genuinely shocked by his certitude and his ignorance.

The good news is, this makes it SO much easier for me to root for the newbies, which I was already doing anyway.
 
Does anyone know what time this happened on the feeds? Maybe I can flashback.

Also, did Kalia tell Lowan about this convo?
 
Are Kalia and Lawon friendly in the house? All I've really watched is the televised show and she doesn't seem that fond of him in her Diary Rooms.

They're friendly when they talk but no they're not super close. I just thought it was something she might relay to him. He spends way more time with Dom and Cassi.
 
I can't believe Jeff said that, I'm so upset now. I knew he was too good to be true. I've never witnessed this kind of Jeff from his previous season! What the hell?!

I don't believe he was associating homosexuality with pedophila but rather adult content which is still equally wrong and bad.

Pepper, apparently the Jeff vs. Kalia argument happened at 6:45 PM according to Jokers. Unfortunately a timezone was not specified, but I'd guess PST because it looks like their board is on that timezone.

Kensei, I remember during BB11, a big deal was made about Jeff using the word "faggot." I never saw it myself since I don't have the feeds, but apparently this wasn't the first time that Jeff's showed this side of himself in the house.

I hate that term! For the record, I believe the evidence is more then strong enough to conclude that our homosexuality (and bisexuality -- it's real folks, get over yourselves!) is predetermined by the organic structure of our brain. This would mean that there isn't just one type of male (Heterosexual) but a few different types.

To sum it up, our existence is different to heterosexuals. When someone calls us a faggot, I believe they are not insulting us for being gay, but for a factor that makes up our existence. That's why Jeff upset me so much. Not because he's a cute guy, but because I thought he had a little more intellect to know what harm spewed out of his mouth.

Again, Jeff, go fuck yourself. I'm going to search for an appropriate avatar now.

What's troubling is kalia looks back for support as Jeff tells her to stfu and no one backs Kalia. Kalia annoyed me the first night. Now I have a new respect for her.

That's where we differ. I thought/hoped Jeff wasn't a bigot, but I never for once thought he had any intellect.

Yeah I mean I don't think he explicitly is associating homosexuality with pedophilia per se, but he's definitely implying that gay men shouldn't be allowed near children for some unstated reason. I'm just trying to wrap my brain around why someone would have that thought. I think it's safe to infer that he was thinking of one of the following things:

a) children shouldn't be left alone with gay men because they are mostly pedophiles
b) exposing your child to a gay person might "turn them gay"
c) all gay people are sick/filthy/sexual, and children shouldn't be exposed to those kind of people
d) since I don't believe that gay people are normal, I don't want my child thinking that they are

No matter what, it's obvious he's a bigot.

And sorry to the Cassi lovers, but I think on the first BBAD she did say Dom was a faggot because he wanted one of the purple frilly pillows in the Tarot sitting room. It was more like a kind of ribbing, but I still think she sucks for using that word, no matter what the context or circumstance. Dom and a few others called her out right after she said it, saying "There goes America's favorite houseguest!" You could tell she regretted saying it cause she was really silent and reserved for the rest of the night after that. And I feel like she has really watched her words since then.
