Big Brother 16 (US Version)

Re: Big Brother 16

How much longer do you think this Two HoH twist is going to last? Most of BB's twists only last a few weeks anyway.

Re: Big Brother 16

I thought it was announced before the show started that the two HOH/Battle of the Block setup was only going to last for three weeks. Which I hope is true.

Re: Big Brother 16

^ I'd like to know that too, Sgt Pepper
All I remember him saying at the time was that a friend needed him

Poor Caleb, I feel sorry for him

Donny is such a great guy, unfortunately for him that means no one will want to sit next to him in final two

Poor Caleb? The man is a psychopath. Amber has very plainly told him that she's not interested in him, but he's just refuses to accept that. That is the behavior of a crazy person. He just assigned himself the role of her love interest whether she likes it or not. He's goes on and on about how Amber isn't 'appreciating' him. It's because she doesn't want to ENCOURAGE YOU. It's because she wants to turn you down without being rude and abrasive.

Re: Big Brother 16

^ Maybe he suffers from obsessive love disorder or delusional jealousy. If so, he can't help it.

Re: Big Brother 16

Maybe he suffers from an over active super ego that he can't control because no one will tell him what a complete and utter idiot he is and that all the boasting gets tiring very fast.

Someone in the house said that he suffers from 'little man syndrome'.

How can you feel sorry for a guy who sits there with a girl and she openly tells him that she is not interested now, tomorrow or ever and he keeps these delusional feelings flying in the face of lunacy. *%%* Bless his little heart and soul and all his rifles and guns.

Now tell me this, did you expect Dueling Banjos when visiting Donny's family and how easily Jeff Schroeder fit right in with them. There was an essence of familiarity for him there. I know. Shame on me.

Caleb probably isn't used to getting "shot down" in Hopkinsville, KY. A woman telling him she's not interested is probably very foreign to him.

Re: Big Brother 16

Not to get too deep or anything but Caleb was a soldier and probably has a bit of post traumatic stress issues that may be unresolved and are manifesting in other ways. I'm really glad that Frankie was told about the passing of his grandfather. I must admit, this season is my favorite.

Re: Big Brother 16

That's what happens when one side is stacked and the other side has just Donny. Hopefully when the "whatever they're calling themselves now" turn on each other it gets good.

i hope so too

Re: Big Brother 16

A. No one here (to my knowledge) is a psychiatrist. We can't randomly go diagnosing people with disorders without a proper examination and then go using those random diagnoses as an excuse for their behavior.

B. To be on any reality television show, ESPECIALLY one like this where you are left unsupervised in a contained space with others contestants need to go SEVERAL mental evaluations. I can promise you that there is 0% chance anyone who is diagnosed as even slightly delusional or volatile would be allowed on any of these shows. There is no way. CBS legal wouldn't allow it. Mark Burnett Production's legal team wouldn't allow it. It wouldn't happen. It's a lawsuit nightmare.

C. If you do have a mental illness in or out of the Big Brother house you CAN help how you act. It may be harder for you than others, and that's not fair but that is the hand you've been dealt. None of us are robots. You can't help the way you feel. But you CAN help the way you act. And it is your duty to find the right treatment be it therapy, medication, or most likely both to exist in the world you are in. It is not literally everyone else's duty to cater to your delusions because the world doesn't revolve around you.

I"m a Psychologist and I'm not diagnosing anyone just having some empathy for him.

Re: Big Brother 16

And there was that guy who was removed from the show for brandishing a knife at one of other house guests.

I'd rather save my empathy for Amber who is totally the victim here and is being forced into a no-win situation just because this asshole thinks no means yes. I was creeped out when he said he threw the BOB comp for her and then asked what she was going to do for him.

God yes PLEASE let this twist end this week. The BOB twist has prevented any power shift or underdog alliance from occurring since even if a girl won HOH, she'd still have to win with another girl to even think about breaking up the boys. With the regular rules, all we'd need is one Amber or Donny HOH and we're in business.

He wanted a date, didn't he? That's all I remember. Don't you think this might be why she suddenly started hanging with Cody? She may feel safer and it's sending Caleb a strong message although he seems to be ignoring that too and blaming Cody.

As much as I wanted to dislike Frankie in the beginning I just can't. He's okay. He's good at keeping his head in the game and entertaining people.

Nicole's whiny voice in D.R. is so annoying I have to mute the sound. She has that sing-song nasal thing going on strong.

Victoria saying she doesn't understand how people can do this. Did she know what she was signing up for or was it a case of "I just want to look pretty on camera"

Re: Big Brother 16

Man, Big Brother is lame when one alliance dominates the house every single week.

Re: Big Brother 16

I will never understand how alliances aren't figured out by based on how production calls people to vote, especially when there's a commercial break.

And the acting from Christine, Derrick, and Frankie during the HOH comp was brilliant. Congrats to the alliance for winning.

Re: Big Brother 16

I thought BB handled the death of Frankie's Grandfather really well. I was touched and loved the group hug, plus the long silence as the show went to commercial.

Yes, and more reason to hate the twist which gives that alliance two shots at one of the HOH spots each week. When Amber got knocked out of the comp, I instantly lost all interest this week. See you on Thursday Donny/Amber/Jocasta/Victoria.

Re: Big Brother 16

All hell has broken loose. I can't keep track of any of it other than that they're all mad at Zach for some reason or another. Something he may or may not have said got back to Cody who called him out on it but won't tell him who told him 'it.' Zach is refusing to put up Donny or Nicole or Victoria. He's insisting he wants Christine to go up because she does nothing for the alliance. He (correctly) pointed out it'll make it seem like she's not in their alliance and added a who cares if she gets angry. The other boys told him flatly that they use Christine for recon and if she wants to spill about The Detonators they're all in trouble. Frankie's plan is to put up Jocasta/Victoria. The boys want Zach to put up Nicole as a seat filler (I think Christine may have co-signed this but I'm not sure). Zach doesn't want to. He wants to put up Christine and Amber and for Christine to throw the BoB.

Something or the other got Christine riled. I don't know what. But she was downstairs with Amber talking about how they want to backdoor Zach. There was talk about telling Zach they'd throw the BoB but then not doing it so Frankie can stay HOH.

Back upstairs Zach had a real WEIRD conversation with Nicole. First he asked if she'd be willing to throw BoB. She flatly refused to. Then he basically tried to tell her everything but was afraid of things getting back to Christine. He hinted heavily at everything, practically spelled out his alliance at least with Cody. Asked Nicole how close she was to Christine, how much she trusted Christine. Nicole… did absolutely nothing. She got no information. Understood nothing. And left confused and upset. She went and told Christine that Zach was fishing for information but she didn't give him any. *facepalm*

There was also a surprisingly (at least to me) astute moment from Hayden when he was talking to Nicole. He said that they need to make "two fake alliance" and use both alliances to pick off each other.

Re: Big Brother 16

Also Frankie is telling them he'd be willing to BD Zach. I don't know if that's the truth or he's just placating to keep the chaos down and then not follow through later. My gut tells me he wouldn't BD Zach but I don't know. He's hard to read. Zach is erratic and that's a horrible attribute in an ally. But I don't think Zach would turn on him and I think Frankie knows that.
