When was the last time we had a Part 3 live HOH comp that was this much of a nail biter? If Steve or Vanessa win, I expect them both to evict each other and take Liz even though they've both promised to take each other so it's going to be a blindside either way. In most BB seasons, and especially lately, the last two people competing have already struck a genuine deal to go to the finals together so the outcome is predetermined: Will & Nicole, Jun & Allison, Drew & Cowboy, Adam & Ryan, Dan & Memphis, Hayden & Lane, Rachel & Porsche, Dan & Ian, Andy & Gina Marie, Derrick & Cody.

Of the times where a genuine deal was not struck, Erika & Boogie was a strange one because by all accounts they SHOULD have had a deal to go to the end but Erika kept saying in the DR, in post-interviews and on the live feeds when talking to herself, that she wanted to evict Boogie; and Kevin & Jordan was also interesting because Kevin planned to backstab Natalie but really he should have wanted to go to the end with her and anyway Jordan won HOH and evicted him so her deal with him was not real. The rest were genuine nail-biters: Lisa & Danielle, Ivette & Janelle and Dick & Zach.

However, Lisa did take Danielle and we know that Janelle planned on taking Ivette, so the only Part 3 Live Final HOH competition we've ever had where BOTH players were planning to evict each other was Zach and Dick. Which means Vanessa vs Steve is only the second time this has happened (although I could be proven wrong if Steve wins and takes Vanessa but he's consistently said he wants her out, so I'm going with that for now) in all of BB history. That's kind of amazing actually and it sets the stakes high for the finale on Wednesday.

Personally, I didn't give a shit by the time we got to the end of BB8 because Zach was unlikable too and so much of that cast sucked especially after Jen was evicted, but I would much rather see a Vanessa victory (or even Liz) than Steve and so I'm invested in her winning that Final HOH. I want a woman to win again and Vanessa would actually be a smart strategic woman, not the embarrassing wins from Jordan and Rachel. She's not as fun or as cool as Jun, but she's smart and cutthroat and she's played a great game and that would be something to celebrate. Steve winning would just be another ho hum guy who wins a la Ian Terry who fans vastly overrated.

Get it Vanessa.
 
I've pretty much given up watching this season. I bailed out when I realized I don't really give a fuck who wins this time. Obviously, Vanessa is the most deserving, but only because she was playing with an entire house full of dumbasses. Reminds me of when Rachel won. I couldn't stand her, but against the worthless group of idiots she was surrounded by, she was the only remotely deserving possible winner.

Probably the worst season ever, although I didn't watch 9 or 10. Horrible casting.
 
Well BB17 comes to a close tonight and we can all go back to our rocking chairs with our cats on our laps and wonder what will be coming. Survivor starts and then Amazing Race (my fav). I look back over this season with a dry mouth because there was not enough tittilation or people that interesting. I did love James and sometimes Johnny. If they made a complete track of Vanessa's tears we could swim around the world and back. The very first BB AD she was off in a room somewhere crying because of paranoia. Very unlike a card shark. Looking back, the show might have been more fun had Jace, Dae and Jason been around longer. Audrey was a disappointment. Shelli and Clay were cute but his ass took the center stage. He is so fuckable. I still hate the twins and Austin even more. Steve was the guy I wouldn't want to live next door to. Until the next BB sleep fest.

I blame the BoB twist for this. We had the same thing last season. It takes all of the stronger players out of the house and leaves a bunch of sheep who follow one lone wolf.

BB also needs to go back to EVERYONE being able to play in the veto competition. The "backdoor" needs to be closed.

Yes thank you! I know people don't like her and I did find her annoying for much of the season, but theres no denying she played a very dominant, strategic, ballsy game. She had a hand in practically EVERY eviction and she made some of the biggest moves all season including that monumentally satisfying eviction of Austin which rivals BB9 Sheila for sheer tie-breaker awesomeness. She was unintentionally entertaining AND a great player and if she wins, she will be the second greatest female winner after Jun Song and one of the all-time greats in my book. And for all that, she definitely deserves to win over fucking Steve who is just a bunch of annoying twitching nerve ends. If Steve win the final HOH and takes Liz, I'd even root for Liz over him. Please god just not Steve.
 
Well,my head tells me Vanessa should win. Annoying and hypocritical as she is, (yelling at others for lying to her while she's the biggest liar in the house...) she has played one hell of a good game.

Still, my heart belongs to Steve. Some of the footage they showed of his "nerd-mance" with Johnny Mac was "interesting", to say the least.... It would be nice to see him win. (And perhaps one day come out of the closet... :) ) Actually, I'm not quite sure about that, it's just a hunch....
 
And we went from possibly having a top tier winner in Vanessa to a bottom tier winner in Steve. slipintothefog was right to bail on this season. What a fucking lame ending.
 
Steve was actually very good in the question and answer session and Liz was a dud, as was the twin thingie for me altogether. Vanessa may have deserved (if there is such a thing for this show) to win but didn't and I don't mind all that much now. And Austin is an egotistical whining bitch! (much like his gf)
 
I like Steve (being a nerd myself). He deserved to win over Julia. What has she done this season? She got $50,000 for doing nothing more than cuddle with Austin.
 
The best part of the finale was James winning AFP because he hands down gave us the best week of the season when he put Shelli and Clay up. For that alone, he earned his 25 grand more than Steve earned the big prize.

Silver lining: Steve's 6-3 win means Austin had ZERO influence on the jury.
 
Wow. I have not seen poor negotation skills as bad as Liz's since BB9 with that guy who wasn't Adam (Mike was it?) Did she rehearse at all?

Steve winning is annoying over Vanessa but he definitely deserved it over "Liz-uh."

Now onto the future. Will Liz and Austin stay together? Perhaps. Will Clay come out of the closet? Probably never, but that doesn't stop me from hoping.

Survivor starts now and I have never seen more than a few episodes. I tried in the past and I'll try again, but either I'm getting too old for these shows or Survivor isn't my game. Even with Big Brother, it can be tough to stay up to date.
 
Steve sucks. Sometimes I wonder why I keep getting my hopes up with this show year after year.
 
For real. None of my favs ever win.

They always lose that stupid final 3 hoh, or somebody in the jury fucks up, or they are evicted pre jury.
