Big Brother 17 is coming in just 13 days.

We finally get a female player who's both great at comps AND plays a great dominant strategic game (while being unintentionally entertaining) and she loses to a nothing like Steve. UGH. I really can't shake the disappointment. One of the awesome returning women better win Survivor.

Yes thank you! I know people don't like her and I did find her annoying for much of the season, but theres no denying she played a very dominant, strategic, ballsy game. She had a hand in practically EVERY eviction and she made some of the biggest moves all season including that monumentally satisfying eviction of Austin which rivals BB9 Sheila for sheer tie-breaker awesomeness. She was unintentionally entertaining AND a great player and if she wins, she will be the second greatest female winner after Jun Song and one of the all-time greats in my book. And for all that, she definitely deserves to win over fucking Steve who is just a bunch of annoying twitching nerve ends. If Steve win the final HOH and takes Liz, I'd even root for Liz over him. Please god just not Steve.

I kind of like that Steve won. It's fitting that a shitty season had a shitty ending, with a shitty winner.

Think about it. A guy that sobbed uncontrollably after winning his first HOH and, out of sheer terror, nominated the two weakest players in the house, is the winner of Big Brother 17. Julia mentioned this briefly during the Dr. Will round table, but nobody called him out on it...or the bullshit line he gave about evicting Jackie because she was the strongest player not in his alliance.

If I'd been on the jury, I might have voted for Liz. She had to let herself get finger-banged all summer by a hideous, hairy caveman with a gonytail. Surely that's worth half a mil.
 
Was Jeff (of Jeff & Jackie) missing from the final show? I thought everybody usually comes back at the end.
 
Jeff supposedly had prior commitments. Jackie was there on the jury. I think Jeff probably saw all the adverse publicity he accumulated because he is an asshole and didn't want to be a part. I saw Cody in the audience.
 
Nope he was sitting in the front row with the other 5 houseguests who didn't make it to jury. He just didn't get any facetime with Chenbot.
 
Jeff left early because "he had work the next day".

Work is more important than a crappy TV show so I can't blame him for not being apart. In BBUK most of the people don't even show up half the time on the finale.

I guess I don't understand all the hatred for Steve. Personally, I found him adorable. (Not everyone feels things so deeply that they vomit in the sink, you know... :-) )

As for Clay being in the closet- nah, I don't think so.

Steve on the other hand ? Hmm...

Either way, I'm glad he won.
 
Liz and Austin still together and in love!

"Big Brother" stars Austin Matelson and Liz Nolan are shattering the taboo of reality show romance ... much to the dismay of a torrent of online haters.
Austin tells TMZ when Big Brother ended ... he was flooded with messages calling him a "disgusting cheater" and "classless" for breaking up with his then-GF on TV.
For the non-fans ... Austin and Liz kicked off a relationship early in the show ... despite the fact that Austin was a taken man.
They both got called out for the love triangle ... in one of the most awkward moments of the season.
Austin says, he and Liz are now exclusively dating, have met each other's families and Liz plans on moving from Miami to LA to be close to him.

^ All the more reason I'm happier that Steve beat her (not that he really deserved it)...I can't stomach the idea that Austin would be enjoying the 1/2 mil if she'd have won.
 
Was just re-reading an early-season BB17 thread at Datalounge and found some "friend of a friend" gossip:

Poster has a friend who knows Parker Somerville, the TMZ photographer from BB9. After Day and Audrey got evicted, Parker met them at a party and they told him that Austin came out to both of them as bi late one night. After he realized what he'd done, he freaked out, went to the DR, and begged production not to show the footage during primetime.

Austin looks great now that Liz has trimmed his beard. Too bad he was such a gross pig in the house.
