Come on. That fight with Dae and Paulie was so The Challenge House. That's why I love The Challenge Rivals so much.

It is not Paulie or Zak's responsibility to live as Dae wants them to. Her screaming at Zak "I thought you were my friend." What the hell does that have to do with her fight with Paulie and getting her pussy in his face. He did the right thing by throwing his hands up so there would not be a physical confrontation. That was so Dae knowing it was going to be televised. Drama always wins the day.

Especially since it's not like Zakiyah hasn't seen firsthand that Paulie a) never really has had her back and b) is a massive douchebag with a ton of problems in terms of how he views and interacts with women. Davonne nailed it when she called him out for never talking to/about men like how he does for women.

It's like Stockholm Syndrome that Z's crawled back up his ass, especially since Da' really HAS had her back in the game and in the jury house.

It's one thing to advise a friend that it is not good for them to have the relationship. It is entirely another to try and force your views on them. Zak is a grown woman who can make her own decisions good and bad. I've had friends advise me on relationships but never demand that it stop.

I am not so sure Dae had Zak's back in the house as a competitor and even if she did it is not her right to get all Cookie on her.

Who of us has had perfect relationships all the time. I been in some that were a drain on my soul but when the bed was open again I crawled right back in. I learned my own lessons which has benefited me in my long term relationship I have now.

So we slip slde into the finale where everything is up to Paul and Nic. Who will be the season 18 winner?

On to Survivor where there was once again weather problems. Big problems since cast and crew had to be evacuated.

I just like... really don't care, after Natalie and then Victor left there was no ending that I would find satisfying anymore. James and Nicole stumbling ass backwards into the final three despite themselves (and not to defend Nicole, but ESPECIALLY SO in James's case) is not a riveting conclusion.

And then there's Paul, I guess. I wouldn't hate him winning as much as Steve, which I'm not sure I can say for the other two. Obviously a ringing endorsement.

I'm rooting for Paul it's not close and not without enthusiasm.

I honestly don't know who I'll root for if it's Nicole vs James in the F2.

Nicole.... begrudgingly... I guess...

Nicole spent most of the season getting finger banged by Corey and hating women (aka most of the jury). James spent most of the season waffling between sides and quashing Natalie's decent game instincts to the derision of his own strategic game. So Nicole played better, amazingly.

Oh Nicole DEFINITELY played better. In fact she played very well from F7 onwards. I just hate her so much is all. Having to choose between her and James would be like this choice:

If James had listened to Natalie Victor and Paul would be there and ultimately it would be Victor and Paul f2. James' game was so sketchy and so was Natalie's.

That said, even though I want Paul to win, I'm happy to see BB18 end. This season has been a disaster, the worst cock tease week after week, and the biggest squander of an all-girls alliance.

I can't believe this time last year I was looking forward to this being a Big Brother winner:

Fucking Steve. I think he might honestly be my least favorite BB winner in terms of who he beat out at the very end to win. Like Dick sucked but so did Daniele in BB8, and Zach. Nicole or James winning would suck but the people I wanted to see win the most on this season all went out before the final four.

Yeah Steve beating Vanessa --who played the STRONGEST game of any woman on the show since BB6 Maggie -- was a real low point and I dislike his win just as much as I did Ian's from BB14.

I think the evidence shows that Grodner at the helm has been a real disservice to women on this show, both in terms of the kinds of women cast on the show as well as who production favors and how they portray these women. It can't be a coincidence for example that the first few seasons of the show produced players like BB3's Danielle, BB4 winner Jun, BB5's Nakomis and BB6's Maggie & Janelle. However you feel about these women individually, they ALL played strong games for themselves rather than for a guy or for America to love them etc. This is the period of the show when Shapiro was more actively involved. Since Grodner took over fully though we've only had two female winners (Jordan & Rachel) and neither of them are strong/intelligent/stable women.

Vanessa was as big a bully as Dick. I didn't like her and I didn't like her sister, either. That being said, women's alliances usually fall flatter that a flap jack. Only on Survivor have there been strong women's alliances and winners, and still Probst likes the men winners better. On BB usually one of the alliance members spills the beans about a woman's alliance and that kills it. This year there could have been a stronger women's alliance if not for Vanessa's sister.

Vanessa's sister wasn't the reason the women's alliance flopped. Nicole & Zakiyah chasing dick were.

And yes Survivor has had more strong female winners (even women who beat men in the finals!) and strong female players because they're not scraping the bottom of the societal barrel the way BB is for people who have nothing to do for 3 whole months.

BB3's Danielle, BB4 winner Jun, BB5's Nakomis and BB6's Maggie & Janelle. However you feel about these women individually, they ALL played strong games for themselves rather than for a guy or for America to love them etc.

Even the lesser-tiered women of that era were better. Like Lisa wasn't an entertainment gold mine but voting Amy back in over her showmance would be unheard of to the Nicoles and Zakiyahs of the Grodner era. And Diane at the time was regarded as a super strong player who just made a stupid decision at the end (when she vetoed Nakomis's nom of Drew to get Karen out) rather than "Oh here's another vapid girl who can't think for herself..." which is the case now.

Yeeaaahhh...I dunno about Diane hon.

I mean I agree with you that she played aggressively and even well (for the first half of the game) and she was 10000x more entertaining than the drippy women we get now but Diane was also totally smitten with Drew, wanted to go to the end with him even though she likely couldn't beat him, allowed herself to be in a terrible F3 situation with him when she could've finagled a Drew/Diane/Nakomis F3 that would guarantee her a F2 spot, and totally believed even past the moment he cut her at F3 that their relationship was real (she even gave him her jury vote pathetically believing that). Hell if anything Nicole still managed to survive past Corey and the moment Paul won that F4 POV she was all up in his grill making F2 deals and ensuring her own safety. I vastly prefer Diane as a fireball personality, but she's not much better than Nicole & Zakiyah in terms of surrendering her game for dick.

That said: BB2's Nicole & Monica, BB3 Amy, BB4 Allison, BB5 Karen, BB6 Ivette & April were ALL strong, entertaining women who played for themselves rather than a guy (and even played the guys in some cases). Well OK Ivette kinda played for Maggie but it's not like she wanted to eat Maggie's pussy or anything.
