Are all you Yanks getting a free handout ?

No, but I'm not out of work either.

I'm glad the government is stepping up for a change.

On the other hand, it will be a huge debt, but it is somewhat comforting to know that the health care system that has been bleeding us all dry for five decades is going to get a significant chunk of it. I'd hate for them to go lacking.

Just as long as we don't just give money away for health care, eh?

I used to drive over the road and I can still remember Joe's profile on Adam4Adam or some dating app when I was in Oklahoma. I would see his billboards on the highways as well.

I just finished binged watching Tiger King yesterday - yeah he is batshit crazy - but I think he was the only one who had an ounce of integrity even if it was fleeting and/or revolving.... I think the bitch did feed her husband to the tigers - and talk about animal abuse with those big cats in tiny wire cages - the whole cast needs to be imprisoned and they need to let Joe out with time served -

All of those big cat/exotic animal people annoy the fuck out of me.

They all pretend that they are somehow helping with conservation. Bollocks!

As if any of their inbred, crossbred, captive-bred, semi-domestic, slave-animals could ever be returned to the wild (even if there actually was still any 'wild' left for them).

They all seem to be into keeping exotic animals for selfish, ego-centric reasons and financial gain.

You had pet rats, I recall...

Yep.

I'll go one better: zoos in general are lame as fuck.

Ultimately, I think they serve to suggest the comforting and false idea that wilderness habitats are thriving and that real conservation is working. It isn't.

Yes I did; loads of them. :D

But there are a few slight differences between rats and tigers; for example: domestic rats are not 'exotic animals', their wild ancestors are not endangered, and it is relatively easy to provide them with a good quality life in captivity.

But, back when I was a kid, I used to keep pythons, boas, lizards, turtle, tortoises, frogs, toads, newts, salamanders, axolotls, etc, etc, as well as budgies, cockatiels, canaries, finches, quail, doves, rabbits, guineapigs, gerbils, hamsters, rats, mice, cats, dogs, etc, etc. But most of that was more than 40 years ago. Personally I would not keep any herptiles as pets nowadays, and I don't like to see small furries or birds in cages.

Hi. I don't really like cats . But I have a reason.

I have a friend who is 66 years old. He likes to feed stray cats. He thinks that he is doing a kind and good deed.

He passed away from stage 4 lymphoma ( blood cancer) last december.

One of the first thing that he noticed was a tumour growing on his neck.

He told me that one of the cats that he helped look after and take care of ; the cat was sick with cancer and had a tumour growing on its neck. The cat passed away shortly after.

Three months after the cat passed away, my friend discovered a tumour on his neck which turned out to be lymphoma.

I don't know but it is just so scary thinking about it.

I think that the cat could have passed and transmitted its cancer to my friend.
