It's the same people who get all pissy about the Census because it asks demographic questions. "Oh my god, they're going to use anonymous information to single me out personally even though they already know those things from public record. Oh wait, you mean there's more than just me living in America? Unpossible!"

They are part of a civilized society, but we'd much rather try and disavow ourselves from the rules as much as possible.

Pfft. Don't you know real "civilized society" is when you have no government and everyone has a gun? An armed society is a polite society.

I completely agree with O'Reilly on this one. I do find myself agreeing with O'Reilly about 35% of the time. This was definitely a time where I did as all he did was ask a question which Weiner would not answer.

Even O'Reilly gets one right occasionally. He's probably the least objectionable compared to Beck and Hannity, et. al., but that's not saying much.

Yeah, but O'Reilly wanted to know which government agency was responsible for catching the individual who chose not to purchase the insurance. Who was responsible for auditing this?

And Weiner did not answer. That was my problem with his answer. He wasn't directly answering the question, in my view.

He should have just said the Internal Revenue Service and that it would come up at tax time. It is what it is. No need to spin it, in my view.

Typical politician: he answered the questions he wanted to, not the questions that were asked. He dodged, ducked, and designed to deceive. It's like O'Reilly asked who will come to see you if the government learns you don't have a building permit for the pool you're digging in your back yard, and Weiner said, "We're not criminalizing swimming pools".

Match to O'Reilly.

No. Not remotely. Weiner did not answer the simple question of who was responsible for enforcing it, which everyone that has followed this bill (without the b.s. from the talking heads) knows is the IRS.

The man was obviously cornered. I was hoping O'Reilly would go all the way and really expose his ass. Such is life. One of the few times I've actually been with O'Reilly on something and he doesn't even go as far as he should, whereas he often goes much farther than he should.
