this reminds me of when prop8 passed when some of you just couldn't wait to let those fingers fly across the keyboard to express your disgust and disappointment with "the blacks."
as a black homo i see both sides, nobody wants their party to be crashed with a reminder that there are still injustices in this country and worldwide, then again it's not like LGBT has been explicitly trying to build any sort of bridge to the other side either. both sides are stubborn assholes who can't see the forest for the trees. toronto's gays could've used this as a moment to stand together with another minority, instead it's causing more bitching and purse-slinging and once again the powers that be get to enjoy watching two oppressed groups argue over who's easter dress is prettier.
in my fantasy world toronto's gays would've invited the BLM crowd into their event and the two would've allied but i guess that's asking for too much.
on behalf of "the blacks" i would like to apologize that our cries and pleas for humanity ruined your party. #sorrynotsorry
