Body hair embarrassment

Ah. I agree, but less so in the middle of the country. It's more of a coastal thing, particularly the Northeast and the West Coast.

The less urban population is much less likely to assume counseling or even be comfortable with the idea. It's part of the two Americas.

Thank you for your answers.

Will everyone admire you? Absolutely not, but plenty will and many men will envy you.
I would like to satisfy everybody, but unfortunately it is impossible.

What do you think:
1. Could I sometimes allow myself to wear a v-neck or unbutton a little bit my shirt so that the chest hair would be a little bit visible?
2. What should I do with the hair on my back, shoulders and upper arms? Considering the fact that the back hair sticks out a little of the T-shirt. And I suppose that wearing a sleeveless T-shirt in the summer and showing the shoulder and upper arm hair would be too bold.

Hi Dominik, you are a perfect otter! You have a most beautiful chest and very sexy legs.

Why don't you just try leaving the top buttons of your shirt undone showing some chest hair. I can understand why you would not want to wear sleeveless tops.

I hope you get over your embarrassment, you have such a beautiful body. You would look great with tanned legs in shorts.

... It is gratifying to read that body hair is a turn-on for others.... I hide my body hair, so nobody sees it. I admit that these were mostly opinions of women (often before 30), and although I am gay, any such opinion brings down...

I am generally ashamed to show any kind of body hair. It sounds bizarre, but even something as basic as leg hair (something absolutely normal in case of men) or showing even a few hairs on my chest makes me feel ashamed, let alone some hair on other body parts...
A quick look around the forum will assure you that there are plenty of gay men who love body hair, as you do.

But in reading through what you've written, this isn't about body hair, as much as it is about a fear of how others see you and your own uncertainty about yourself. I suspect that if we sent you to a salon for a body wax, you would come out of that with no body hair but you would still have self-image and self-confidence issues.

It is something that working with a therapist would help you unravel.

Neither. I'm suggesting that Americans are nearly as obsessed with counselling as they are with guns and litigation.
The number of Brits seeking mental health care is not that much different from Americans (12% vs 18%). Americans are just more willing to talk about it.

You look terrific. Your fine straight chest hair looks great. You should go to the beach, take your shirt off and show off.

If you are conferenced with the neck and arm hair, try a little manscaping to thin it out. I have harry legs and arms, which don't match well with my smooth chest, so I use a trimmer to thin it out about once a week.

you are correct unloadonme— also seems people from other countries accept what god gave them more then here

I only have hair in my ears. So much I cant hear anymore.

What's that you say? Huh?

Thank you for your answers.

Ask yourself what your "ideal" image of yourself is. Forget about the finding the source of your discomfort in your family or attempting to find that what you honestly don't find attractive about yourself is otherwise. That you are still asking about how much skin and hair to expose--after numerous men on this site have written how hot they think an abundance of hair is--says to me you really wish you were less hirsute. That you don't like the look of back hair sticking out a little when you wear a t-shirt, etc., etc. is what's important. I think you should experiment and see what another you feels like. And just because you find abundant body hair attractive on other men doesn't mean you should find it attractive for youself.

I suggest you begin by trying the following:

1. Have your back and shoulders trimmed as close as possible by someone in the business of depilating body hair. Probably someone who does waxing, as the first time you wax you need to bring the hair down to a shorter length. Or simply have your back and shoulders waxed by a professional.

2. Buy a good hair trimmer and bring down the length of the hair on your arms and legs, and perhaps your chest.

3. See how you look and feel. Do you like the way you look better? Are you more confident? Do you feel freer in wearing t- shirts and tanks and opening a button or two on a collared shirt?

4. If the above is the case, then seriously consider having electrolysis done on your back and shoulders. It will take time, but it may prove in the end to be well worth the effort. And keep using the trimmer.

Wait!

Aren't you going to ask him to make at least one porn before he de-furs? I mean, for posterity and all?

Not really necessary unless he has electrolysis.

The beauty of the experiment is that HAIR GROWS BACK! He can always return to what he is now if he doesn't like the result or find it an improvement.

Let me add that, while I know some men might wish they had hair on their chests and abs, or more hair, or a different pattern of hair, I can't help but believe that very few men have ever wished they had hair on their backs and shoulders when they didn't.

I am hairy!
I love my men hairy!
But I do not discriminate.
My latest FWB has a smooth chest (natural) but a jungle between his legs and ass!
I am very fond of him! :D

The third message today, containing the second part of photos - the worse one. Some of the photos are of poor quality and don't show everything, but I had trouble photographing my back, for example. Of course, I never wear such v-neck shirts and such unbuttoned shirts in public as I did so in the pictures - I did it only for the purpose of photos. I apologise if anyone feels disgusted while looking at the photos. Apologies also for the slight acne on my back.

Best regards,
Dominik

You look as hairy as me. My profile picture is me when I was around 19 but I got hairier still in my early 20s.

Like you, I grew up feeling very awkward and self-conscious about it, particularly my back. I used to get my partner to Veet it regularly then one day I was talking to a Twink lad on Twitter and he was getting his hair lasered. He wants to be totally smooth. Based on what he was paying I made some enquiries and found a firm near where I lived that did any parts of the Body. I went to see them and asked if they could do my back and they said it was a package of 10 sessions for £750. Not cheap but looking at the cost of 2-3 tubes of Veet every 6-8 weeks I decided to go for it.

There are still some fine hairs there but I no longer feel awkward taking my top off. As for my arms, legs and chest, I just use a hair trimmer on number 2 to manscape.

I find your photos very erotic, I would get aroused running my fingers through your back hair. I was the same, I had body hair everywhere, neck, shoulders, back etc, but I've been getting it Lasered off like Danb mentioned, however keep in mind what one person doesn't like others will, and most won't even care, my body hair has never stopped me having relationships, most of them could care less about it.

But man, I find it so hot in men, and I've met men who also find it hot! So don't be put off if someone is bothered by it, they're probably shallow anyway.
