BOOKS: What are you reading?

Well, I've started "Too Much and Never Enough" by Mary L. Trump. Ph.D. It's by President Trump's niece who is a trained psychologist. So far she says that Trump didn't receive the love and support from his parents that children need and he had a flawed upbringing, so his personality isn't all his fault. Never the less, she says that he isn't qualified to be president.

Still working on THE ELEGANT UNIVERSE by Brian Greene (I like to take my time when it comes to difficult reading material.)

THE COMPLETE PLAYS OF SOPHOCLES VOLUME 1

A TRUE STORY by Lucian

BROTHER CADFAEL: MONK'S HOOD by Ellis Peters

Being Elvis By Ray Connolly
Ready Player One By Ernest Cline (Re-reading before the sequel is released later this year!)
Postcards From The Edge By Carrie Fisher

.
THE DEVIANT'S* WAR by Dr. Eric Cervini

Most writings that could have accounted for LGBTQ+ history conveniently had been omitted. This history has been written in detail
by Dr. Cervini. (Mostly in the 50s through the 70s.) This is an enjoyable read (If quarantined or not).

Il sentiero dei nidi di ragno. Italo Calvino. The Path to the Nest of Spiders. Adventures of a young boy who falls in with a group of partisans fighting Fascists and Nazis on the Ligurian coast during WWII.

I purchased this one at Audible, but haven't yet started listening. From the description below, ought to be an interesting read...

If Jane Austen had written a gay romance with a murder mystery and time travel, this book would be it.

Edward Ford Westcott has accepted a position in a clandestine program that seeks to find answers to history's greatest unknowns. He is sent back in time to 18th-century England to investigate a woman’s murder and falls in love with Ian Gallihugh, the devote nephew of the soon-to-be victim, but when he and his partner, Angelica Law, are thrown into the upper echelons of English society, they soon discover that things are not what they appear to be. Edward’s relationship with Ian is soon in jeopardy, along with all their lives. Discovering the truth will leave the two men cornered, and they will be forced to make a terrible choice if they are to save their love.

Girls to the Front: The True Story of the Riot Grrrl Revolution

I usually read a lot of romance novels because they are easy to read and don't stress me out too much. Some easy light ones were: Red, White & Royal Blue, The Music of What Happens, and What If It's Us. Also: His Leading Man, Try Anything Twice, and Fake Dating the Prince. A little more serious and part of a series were: The Doctor's Secret, and The Doctor's Date. These were all gay romances that I enjoyed. I also read: Thomas Jefferson and the Tripoli Pirates which was not a romance and I enjoyed it as well.

A romance novel, The Straight Roommate, had some things happen in it which somewhat upset me, I don't like to hear anything bad, but it ended well.
