I Was a Doctor in Auschwitz by Gisella Perl. Sobering but imperative read.

When I Fell From the Sky by Juliane Koepcke. She survived a 3,000 mile drop while strapped to her seat following a plane crash and an 11 day journey through the Amazon rainforest at age 17. She was the lone survivor.

I’m rereading The Annotated Alice, the Definitive Edition of Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking-Glass by Martin Gardner.

bingeing on cheap science fiction -- I got a download of novels at 99 cents each, some of it by pretty good authors

Is this a collection from the golden age of pulp sf? I’m asking because there are a number of such collections and I love that era.

In Search of Lost Time by Marcel Proust ..|

Oh, good for you! I’ve said I’m going to read it almost as long as I can remember (joke about memory unintended), and I need to get off my fat ass and stop procrastinating.
Are you reading all seven volumes, and how’s it coming? Is it very demanding?
Thanks.

Hero of Two Worlds: The Marquis de Lafayette in the Age of Revolution. Right now it is 1782 and America has just won Yorktown and Lafayette is a hero.

"Athens Versus Phaethon" by Adam L. Holloway. Gay fiction set in Ancient Greece.

This sounded interesting to me so I looked it up online and I cannot find a copy to buy. I guess that it isn't available in the U.S.
