BOOKS: What are you reading?

Ladies Who Punch: The Explosive Inside Story of "The View" by Ramin Setoodeh. JUICY! :corn:

I just binge-read eight novels by David Drake, several of them co-written with S. M. Sterling.

Now I'm getting scholarly with Jesus and the Eyewitnesses -- it's like being in grad school again!

I ordered that off Amazon US so sadly don't get to read it for a few weeks. I hope its good!

Trust me, the excerpts in the press barely scratch the surface!

Shades of Blue: Writers on Depression, Suicide, and Feeling Blue

Pretty good read so far. It's not really much of an effective self-help book (if that's what they were aiming for), though.

This Will Only Hurt A Little By Busy Philipps - Great autobiography!

I read it a few months ago and enjoyed it too. I didn't know much about her before. She’s been through some shit but is still able to laugh through it.

First Person Plural, by Andrew W.M. Beierle
(excerpted Amazon description) Owen and Porter Jamison are conjoined twins inhabiting one body with two heads, one torso, and two very different hearts... As they grow to adulthood, their differences become more pronounced: Porter is outgoing and charismatic while Owen is cerebral and artistic. When Porter becomes a high school jock hero, complete with cheerleader girlfriend, a greater distinction emerges, as Owen gradually comes to realize that he's gay... Porter's unease with his brother's sexuality leaves Owen feeling increasingly alienated from his twin, especially when Porter falls in love ...

I discovered this author's first book not long ago -- The Winter Of Our Discotheque
Tony Alexamenos's life is forever changed when wealthy Dallas Eden, determined to mold Tony into a perfect addition to his ever-growing "harem," sends Tony to college, where he falls for his drama teacher--an infatuation that leads Tony to New York City where he becomes an overnight sensation and learns some valuable lessons in life and love.

Godless Citizens in a Godly Republic: Atheists in American Public Life

It's part of a research presentation, and for personal leisure.

Among other things I'm reading Literary Mushrooms: A Compendium of Gothic Chapbooks and Armadale by Wilkie Collins.

Ladies Who Punch: The Explosive Inside Story of "The View" by Ramin Setoodeh. JUICY! :corn:

I really enjoyed that book! Very interesting and as you said juicy!

Eragon By Christopher Paolini
The Devil Wears Prada By Lauren Weisberger
The Taking Of Annie Thorne By C.J. Tudor

"Science...for HER!" by Megan Amram. It's half "Huh?" and half really funny. If it's to be believed she's a hard-drinking meth-using slut but I don't think anyone could write coherently like that. So I consider it inspirational. And totally factual and reliable especially where she asserts every man is gay. If only, Megan. If only.

The graveyard book by Neil Gaiman,

A surprising really good children’s book by one of my favorite authors.
