Bradley & Lattimore

Douglas: I was in my office when I got a call that there was a crash in the courtyard and that Bradley was involved. I hurried outside and everything just seemed to stop as I took in the scene. Bradley's car was in the middle of the courtyard wedged against a lawnmower and had pieces of hedging underneath. Bradley was curled up on the hood and my eyes followed the path to the hole that was torn through the hedge row and to the driveway. Questions were swirling. How fast was he going? How did he wind up on the hood? Was anybody injured? I ran over to him and asked him if he was okay! Bradley sat up wobbly and dazed and said nothing. I looked around and saw Lattimore being held by a brawny man. I asked them if they were alright and what happened. Lattimore sneered, "Your son tried to kill me again!" The tattoo-sleeved bearded man said he was walking nearby when the car came through the hedges and hit the mower, but nothing else.

With no broken windshield, I asked the man how Bradley ended up on the hood. He said, "This red-haired feller was right there pretty close, and he grabbed that boy out of the car and threw him onto the hood. He started wailing on him and I grabbed him and pulled him away. He seems to believe that boy tried to run him over on purpose."

When it was clear that Bradley's bumps and bruises came more from Lattimore than the wreck itself, I told him to go relax in my office and we'd get things sorted out. I took the man's personal info and thanked him for intervening. He was visiting relatives and would be around a few more days if I needed his help again. Lattimore was near the end of his workday and I told him to hang out in the lounge and get something to eat and I'd meet him there later. I wasn't going to have them in the same room together. The Mini Cooper had some scars, scratches, and a few dents but was drivable. I moved it to the parking lot. The mower had moderate damage and would need to be hauled away. The hedges and grass are fixable.

I finally talked to Bradley and the more he spoke the more upset I became. He told me he was speeding to get to work on time and rounded the curve too fast and crashed into the courtyard. Needless damage to property and he could have killed somebody. I asked him why Lattimore attacked him and he said that it was an accident and Lattimore overreacted.

I told him to stay put while I went to the lounge to speak with Lattimore. I thought of something he had said earlier: "Your son tried to kill me again!" Again? What did he mean by that? . . .

Great writing Anthony! Douglas will probably want to kill Brad for what Lattimore is about to tell him and how could he not when Lattimore explains what he meant by "Your son tried to kill me again"

Brian

Sounds like Bradley is going to be in even more trouble with his Dad. I don't see his fight against Lattimore getting resolved anytime soon. Great writing and I look forward to more!

Oh, Geebus! The shit has hit the hedges now! How you're ever going to get Latt and "Sad Brad" set up as roomies is totally beyond me. Talk about twists and turns! :help:

Keep crankin', bud! :gogirl: (*8*)
Chaz :luv:

Sad Brad doesn't understand the 'Rule of Holes' When you're in one quit digging. That boy is extremely determined to self-destruct no matter what. Like Chaz, I can't figure out how you get these guys living together, unless somehow Bradley is held captive by Latt and continually tortured. For the life of me, that's the only scenario I could come up with. Can't wait to see this develop more. Keep on plugging, Anthony. BC

Re: Bradley & Lattimore

Douglas: I went over to the lounge where Lattimore had been waiting. I asked him why he felt that Bradley had tried to run him over on purpose. My son has been guilty of a lot of stupid things, but this seemed far-fetched. I was stunned as Lattimore explained to me why he didn't think it was a careless accident, as Bradley had just expressed to me in my office minutes before. He spoke matter-of-factly how he, Vance, and Robby had been in the cottage the previous day and that Vance saw Bradley lurking in the pine trees and gave chase. He grabbed a bag from him that contained lighter fluid and matches. I remembered on the day prior that Bradley threatened to burn the cottage down because I gave Lattimore the keys to it to use at his leisure. I'd never heard Bradley yell with such venom before. But, could this be true? I needed more convincing. Lattimore told me he had the evidence locked inside the cottage. I told him to meet me at the house, and then told Bradley he could drive his battered Mini home as someone else was covering his front desk evening shift . . .

********
Lattimore: I had no idea if Sad Brad had tried to kill me or not. As far as I knew, he would have had no knowledge that I was going to be in that courtyard at that particular time. Had he phoned ahead of time to ask a co-worker where I was? I didn't think that Sad Brad's Gonads were very big, but was it more than a coincidence that he rammed into the lawnmower I was using with his car considering that Vance caught him with a bagful of fire starters the day before at the cottage? I wasn't certain. Yet. One thing I did know was if that little pussy wanted to ramp up his game of desperation, I was holding a hand full of Aces based on recent events. And I think he knows it. If I play my cards right, Sad Brad is toast!

After I had planted the seed in Douglas's head that his 18 year old son might be an attempted murderer, we went to the cottage where Douglas wanted to see the evidence. We went inside and I showed him the purple bag and its contents. I had no idea what his reaction might be. He seemed upset about the purple bag. About that time, Bradley had showed up. Douglas was irate. He yelled for his son to come down to the cottage. The interrogation began. This was better than the Super Bowl! The only things missing were hot dogs and cold brews!

I just sat and listened with breathtaking enjoyment as the complete dismantling of Sad Fucking Brad by his own father was under way. HaHa! I never thought burnt toast could smell so good! . . .

I don't know how sad Brad is going to ever get out of trouble. I know he has done some bad things but I feel sorry for him. Great writing as usual Anthony!

Great line, Anthony! :=D: ..|

Now where will you be leading us, "Your Deviousness"?

Does Douglas give Brad to Lattimore to straighten him out? :spank:

Does Brad figure the only way to appease Latt is to plead for his (former) best friend Robby to teach him how to ride dick, thus getting Latt off his ass by letting him fuck it? :gaysex:

SO many options, and possibilities! \:/

Write ON, buddy!! :gogirl: (*8*)
Chaz :luv:

Great little snippit as always, Anthony. Just when i think Sad Brad can't get himself into deeper hole, he rents an excavator and digs deeper. He just can't help himself. Good grief.

Chaz might be right. Maybe Douglas will give Brad to Lattimore to straighten him out. Chaz, you continually slay me - 'getting Latt off his ass by letting him fuck it'? Gotta love it.

Write on, Anthony. You never cease to amaze us. BC

A chapter so nice it got printed twice. Anyhow, this phase of the story is coming down the home stretch. Some of you are on to me.

Yep! Sad Fucking Brad is toast. He is probably closer to a piece of charcoal than toast. As BC and Chaz said Brad wasn't satisfied with the shovel he used to dig his hole he had to go rent an excavator to do it right.

I can't wait to read the next installment.

Bradley: I finally made it home where an angry dad and a grinning Lattimore were waiting for me at the cottage. Dad began to grill me as he presented the purple bag with the matches and lighter fluid inside. I wilted as I confessed to my plot to burn the cottage with Lattimore, Vance, and Robby inside. With that, I knew he wouldn't believe me that my crashing into the courtyard and hitting Lattimore's mower was an accident. After all that has happened over the summer, I had no defense. I thought I was smart, but Lattimore was very clever in using my emotions against me. He also was cunning in manipulating my dad against me. My stupid anger toward the red-headed jerk led to my downfall. I knew he was enjoying my father telling me I was fired from my job.

As I was sobbing and blubbering, the horrifying thought came back to me that I could be charged with felonies! Dad brought this up, and I told him I wouldn't last a day in jail! I begged him not to call the police! He told me to pack up and move out. To where? With a smirk, Lattimore said I could live with him!! I told him to shut up. Dad said, "I have tried to give you the best of everything and all you've done is squander it with your entitled attitude. I'm sick of your crap, Bradley."

My head was spinning when my dad actually entertained the thought of me living with Lattimore!! They actually discussed it seriously. Lattimore said, "Turn him over to me, sir, I'll straighten his little ass out for you." Dad finally said, "I'll make you a deal, son. I will not contact the authorities if you agree to live with Lattimore." WTF? He's an 18 year old kid like me! He said, "I trust and respect this young man! I no longer have trust or respect for you! And if Robby thinks highly of him, that's good enough for me."

Jesus Christ! I knew he was serious. I could be found guilty of attempted arson, attempted murder, or who knows what! I could get sentenced to years in prison if found guilty. What choice did I have? Most of my family has lost faith in me. Dad walked out and I turned quietly to Lattimore. He smirked and said, "Your ass is mine, boy."

I am now living with Lattimore. Any questions?

Yep! I gots a question.

What's Latt gonna do with Sad Brad's ass, and is Toast Boy gonna like it?

Wow Anthony small chapter but it had lots going on. Lattimore used up all of his ammunition he had on Brad now he has no more leverage against him. Can't wait to read what Lattimore has in store for Sad Brad now!

Brian

So that is how Brad and Lattimore started living together. I wish Brad's Dad was a little more understanding but I understand what Brad did was wrong. I look forward to reading whatever happens next!

Now that we learned how Bradley and Lattimore started to room together I can't wait to read how they live together without trying to hurt one another.
