I know a few really touchy-feely guys who I think probably are genuinely straight deep-down. It's always them who nobody is 100% sure about, though...

My best friend and I know each other better than anyone else. We are honest and open. We share everything but sex. I love the way he thinks, smells, moves and am comforted by his presence. A hug or a smile from him sustains me. We share joys and tragedies with laughter and tears. He makes my world better and I do my best to bring him comfort. It is okay to love without sex and often it is best love.
This is just like me. I just love being around him all the time. Sometimes things might get a little flirty but it isn't in a big sexual way, just like punches in the shoulder, wrestling etcc. The other thing is that whenever he calls or I see him, my heart always starts racing, it's almost like seeing a girl you like, but there's no romantic feelings attached to it, it's kind of weird almost.
It reminds me of what Eminem said when Dr. Dre died: he barely left his house for 2 years.
dr dre didnt die
That's really sweet, man, that your friend means so much to you. I'm gay, and I like it when straight guys really love each other like that. It reminds me of what Eminem said when Dr. Dre died: he barely left his house for 2 years. He must have loved that man seriously, and that's what loving someone is about. In fact, I think if someone has a friendship that is very deep and loving, it's easier for them to recognize genuine love, as in "romantic" love, because the only difference between platonic love and romantic love is the "desire" part. And if you have a fantastic friendship with another guy, and you're straight, you're romantic relationship should have the same degree of closeness, with the added benefit of romantic/erotic attraction. It's an easy way to tell if you're with the right woman (if you're a straight guy): is she your best friend? If she isn't, you're with the wrong person.
