She's prolly had about 10.000 threads dedicated to her on JUB already. I want to give Camilla her own thread for us all to discuss her work and dedication to Charles.

She is quite a respectable woman and has done a lot for the UK.

Like the Duchess of Windsor, this woman will never be accepted by the British people in any real role as wife of a monarch. She will never be queen. Charles has already stated that she will be styled "Princess Consort" if and when he takes the throne, which is devoutly to be feared although that is another topic. It is common knowledge that Charles hired a publicist to try to rehabilitate both their images after the Camillagate scandel. It hasn't been terribly successful.

This. Camilla is tolerated. Nothing more or less.
she will never capture the hearts and imagination of the people. If Charles is wise, he will abdicate in favour of William in order to create the illusion of the house of Windsor née battenburg being somehow relevant to the Commonwealth.
 
As it's been said that Camilla will never be Diana I will just clear this up.

Diana was unique and I doubt there will ever be another like her. Camilla isn't trying to compete with Diana (or capture the nations hearts) but she has shown that she can be useful to the Monarchy.

She has shown respect to the armed forces on more than one occasion I believe she's underrated. She may never capture the nations hearts like Diana, however, she is one of the more Interesting Royals out there not to mention she's rather charismatic too.

I had to google that one :). Yes, you are right, that was a joke. Actually i like her very much. I thi k she is much more suitable to Charles than Diana was. Too bad Chuck couldn't make up his mind much earlier. Now like it or not, Camilla IS the Princess of Wales and will be Queen, whether she uses those titles or not. Is that correct? And if the family name is Windsor, why do William and Harry sign their names Wales. Just asking. I wish Camilla a long and healthy life.

You're right about Camilla's status. That she and Charles choose that she be styled Duchess of Cornwall is only because of their scandalous history and the power of the cult of Diana. Now that William has been made a duke, he properly signs his name as only "Cambridge". Harry isn't Prince Harry Windsor, he's Prince Harry of Wales, his father being Charles Prince of Wales. There are all sorts of rules and "rules" regarding usage, some have been codified for a long time, others no more than a few years--I'm sure a Google search will give you more information than you care to know. That Harry may sign his name or be referred to as "Harry Wales" probably has more to do with current fashion than any set rules. It's a whole other scene on the continent, particularly in countries where titles have been officially abolished.
