Can people tell you're gay from your voice?

I don't have the stereotypical "gay voice" or least I don't think I do. Well sometimes I feel like my voice might sound a little "gay" if I get excited about something and speak quickly, but who knows lol. Actually the "gay voice" is a very big turn-off for me.

Yeah.

Some people are still shocked to find out I'm gay. I don't know how.

No.

Except for the people who think that the "gay lisp" is any lisp. I have a lisp on 's', 'z' and 'r'. Some people can't even get their stereotypes right.

Nope. No one has been able to tell I was gay before they found out, or I told them.

Ironically, this one girl I know thinks I'M straight, and this other guy she knows is gay. She's wrong about both of us.

What a messed up ho. :p

I don't know...the jubbers who I have talked to at Jub Meets or calling those at Jub meets would probably know better but I can sound really abrasive at times...more Jersey than gay,I think.;)No one in my everyday life has said it to me,though.

Generally speaking, no. I do have a few vocal inflections or mannerisms that are somewhat indicative, you might say. But my voice is pretty low and "masculine", so it's not all that obvious.

If you heard my voice, you would have no doubt that I was from the South, but you wouldn't suspect I was gay. I have a deep, mellow, southern accent.

Surprisingly, no (since the ones I came out to were amazingly shocked). I basically have a deep tone, but when I speak, my voice swings around, reaching almost all tones---from low to high, making me sound like singing a sentence. Funnily, people say that is being precise to intonations and I might be a good singer instead of yelling out, "Geez, you sound so gay!".

Not really, when I was younger maybe, never really grow up in an environment outside of guys / 'blokes'

Can people tell you're gay from your voice?

only they from countrys what require padded cell

I didn't think so but when I told two of my close friends that I was gay both of them said that they sort of thought that was the case.

When I asked them what made them think so one of them said he suspected it from my voice. I've always thought my voice sounded the same as everyone elses but apparently that's not the case.

There is kind of a "gay" sound to the voices of gay men that has more to do with cadence and inflection than how deep or high the voice is.

What amazes me is how many gay men who say "no, my voices doesn't give me away," but when when I hear them speak it clearly does.

And a lot of gay men look sort of "gay" too. Your friends usually won't tell you that, but they may have always thought it.

No, not at all from my voice alone. But if they saw me with one cock in my ass and another in my mouth they might get the idea !!!
