More fresh snow in the hills. We're fifteen degrees below seasonal average. No smell of spring here.

Yesterday was my first no-gloves day... although only during daylight![]()
Balmy... the tourists seem to have come with the rain, because they suddenly popped up everywhere in the typical seasonal massive way. Of course there have been warm weeks during winters, as usual, but now the light clothes of winter are geting skimpy. Spring Break, I guess.
I think it's wonderful that Europeans wear gloves. We just let our hands get cracked and chapped throughout the length of the winter, which will be with us for another 6 weeks. It's not that people don't have gloves here or understand their basic utility, but you just never see them on. Unless someone is skiing or shovelling the driveway or something. But just for going to and fro? It's a strangely alien concept.
