So this is different from consuming mother's milk or another man's cum?

The scenario where people eat dead flesh in a survival situation is so historically commonplace as to be almost humdrum.

Morality enters the picture when people are killed specifically to provide sustenance for the survivors.

In solo- survival situations you could always cut off your non-dominant arm and live on that for a while. Though drinking your own blood, or slicing flaps off your pectorals or calves might be less risky. However, given current obesity levels most of us could probably survive for 6 weeks or so without any food at all as long as there was water available.

I know two people who've been vegetarians for the majority of their lives (11 out of 19 years and 19 out of 34 years, respectivly) and they've both said that they'd rather eat a human than an animal, because a human could consent to it.

I agree with that. I'd eat human.

Backstraps and abdominals off a male, hamstring or pectoral off a female.

If I was stuck with a creep I absolutely hate, yeah I'd kill him and chop him into bits and mince him. But no, I wouldn't eat him. That's gross.
 
Even if I had to survive off eating a corpse, I wouldn't.

I'm unsure of my philosophical and moral beliefs, but I respect a person even after death too much to consume his/her body. I would starve.

Since I am in my comfortable home and completely out of the survivalist-scenario, I cannot say my decision would remain the same if I were actually in that moment.

My two cents.
