Cats are very emotional animals. If you don't show them attention and affection they will ignore you cause they think you don't care about them. They are not like dogs that love you even if you abuse them. Ud be surprised at how loving cats are if you love them back.

Yes, some people love dogs because they can abuse them to no end and the dog will still love them and be loyal to them. Whereas cats will hate you and stop caring about you if you abuse them. I suppose that says more about their owners than them.
