Well, well.
An update on 'throw the mouse'. We've gone live.
Mizzy had a very small vole in the living room this morning and was patting it around. This, I believe might have been a first...and it was rescued from demise without any discernible scratches.
And of course she then was sure we were going to play 'Throw the Mouse' for fetching with it.
We did not.
And she is now quite puzzled.

I don't have them by email, but our house/cat sitter while we were away in Vermont, produced a portfolio of about 20 shots of our Mizzy eating, being CARRIED AROUND, eating from their hands and otherwise being totally socialized.
We had them come twice a day and spend an hour each time and it worked beautifully...but I am so jealous because Mizzy won't let me just carry her around for yuks.
At least on future trips I won't be fretting.
