Chick-fil-a Can Bite Me

Is it weird that republican gays around here aren't just supporting the other party, but also all of its anti-gay policies and anyone else who supports them? I think it's weird. Does anybody else think it's weird?

Very weird.

Almost like they aren't actually homos at all.

The Muppets have dumped Chick-Fil-A as well.... you can count on the Muppets to have our back. Bert and Ernie must have rallied the troops:

"The Jim Henson Company has celebrated and embraced diversity and inclusiveness for over fifty years and we have notified Chick-Fil-A that we do not wish to partner with them on any future endeavors. Lisa Henson, our CEO is personally a strong supporter of gay marriage and has directed us to donate the payment we received from Chick-Fil-A to GLAAD."

She is my hero for today.

I think no insult ever hurled at me about being gay bothered me as much as hearing "you are not a real family" when someone finds out my man and I have children. To side with those who say that, would be to deny my family. What kind of a man would that make me?

To say my love for my husband is illegitimate is awful enough. To say my family is illegitimate is the same as calling my children bastards. No one would dare do that to my face.

Interesting that Lisa Henson and the Muppets have bigger balls than some of the homos who hang out here.

Muppets with no balls.

A ball-less muppet. I have to chuckle at the sound of that.

The management of Chick A Filet did.

The only reason that I think that so many people can be so callous is because they think that they know in their heart of hearts that they don't know any of us.

And like my sister, are ashamed if they do.

They're missing out on a lot of love, and in the case of Chick A Filet, I hope a lot of profits because of their ignorance.

I know. I read the article.

You are right about them not really knowing any of us, but there must be some customers who have gay friends with children who would think about us when eating there, wouldn't you?

BTW, I am not a believer in boycotts. I doubt they do much.

actually there's plenty of liberals here who are embracing Chick-Fil-A - you should get your story str8 before you press "send"

usually a good idea

little extra work

I know those people, and they know me.

They're more hardcore against Chick A Filet, and have expressed more outrage on their Social Networks than many of my gay friends have.

I say "tear them up!"

I am.

If your church says that Micky Mouse supports "Gays" then don't go to Gay Day at Disney World in Orlando, then bitch when you see two guys or girls holding hands. ;)

(*8*)

Well, it depends upon what you want the outcome to be, I think.

If you are looking at boycotts to achieve a specific end (like boycotting a sponsor of something you don't like in order to force them to drop that sponsorship) then I would most likely agree with you. This, however, I look at differently. This is far less about expecting them to change and much more about US refusing to give our money to someone who is so actively working against us.

They are NOT going to change, so this is not a boycott with a specific aim in mind other than to free US from the tyranny of paying for our own cages. In which case, I would say that does quite a bit.

Chick-fil-A, I thought you were irreplaceable.

I stood by you even though the other gay bois told me not to. Okay, so I knew you said some not very nice things about me to other people, and you quietly donated money to folks who hate who I am.

But you were such a good cook!! I loved your chicken sandwiches, waffle fries and milk shakes. It was the best food ever. I will always fondly remember the chicken sandwiches you made me. I will also remember the cute hunky white "clean cut" boys who would help serve the food you made me.

But your recent comments about me were the last straw. I don't know how I will survive without your chicken sandwiches and waffle fries, but I somehow will.

I tried to imagine what it would be like if one of our friends told us we had no right to be married because we were not male and female or if they told us we were not a real family. It is inconceivable that someone who knows us and loves us could feel that way and still be our friend. Here is a company that has taken that stance. Why would I want anything to do with them?

As a side question, could someone tell me if this chicken place is a fast food like KFC or something else?
