Chick-fil-A line-ups out the door into the streets

It still hurts me that she was put in that situation.

I hope she finds a better job.

Awww, as someone that spent nearly a decade working in fast-food, I feel for that woman. What a fucking asshole.

for real, i agree. people don't realize how much shit people working at fast food take. everybody needs to make a living but sometimes, it would be better to be unemployed and broke than to be working for peanuts @ a place while being abused by others. i myself quit last week after 6 years and 2 months at that job. i just couldn't take it anymore. i would rather be at home inside job hunting for work, saving up my last than to be there having to work my ass off to make something decent in 2 weeks. i was literally living check from check. i can't even bring myself to go buy fast food anymore simply because it reminds me of the shitty job i will no longer be working. :D

it's crazy seeing some customers talk about "the best thing about your job must be eating the food for free". i look @ them like they're crazy like you would be an abused underpaid worker for some cheap ass garbage. with that said, i don't plan on fucking with fast food anymore after this tuesday.

Let's not e hypocritical. I am gay. Lived in NY all my life I'm a tall guy work out I my demeanor has always been All business. And fu with my friends of course. I never once felt discriminated against. Some made jokes about me that's fine I never took them to heart I made fun back it was all tongue and cheek. Maybe life was different with me than with ur average gay man, but come on..let's be real. When the owner of this restaurant was asked what HIS OPiNIoN was about gay marriage, he genuinely answered. And that somehow caused an outroar. On grindr this app, the AppMaster is encouragin fellow gays to go to their nearest Chik Fil A and make out in front of everyone...total hypocrisy. Gay community always says that the gay hating "Christians" are trying to shove down their beliefs down everyone's gullet when its the other way around. This man his opinion was asked he answered and because he disagrees now he is condemned? Where is the so called equality there then? This is reverse discrimination, reverse bullying. And no offense but while the majority of people are calm and do NOT concern themselves with gay rights because it does not affect them, there are some groups that DO hate the gay community and i dont see any good comming from this. If we do what grindr is expecting everybody to do I see it as a provoking those anti gay groups. I admire that from men like him who do not fold for society and sticks to his guns even though I disagree with him. The people who work at these restaurants..his opinion isn't that of them. I have gone to these places. In fact some years ago my ex worked In one. He is gay too. He was the manager. And very goo sandwiches might I add..
but guys come on.. It is ridiculous to do this, to make such a big deal about it. Be real to yourself. Is his opinion really that important? If it is than you truly are pathetic. While I understand he supports and funds many anti gay groups it i still find it ridiculous to go out and make an unnecessary scene..but hey that's just MY opinion. Grown me do what grown men do..little boys, they follow like sheep. =/

People making out in front of other people isn't hurting anyones rights. Companies donating to rabidly anti-gay organizations are hurting people and also trying to limit rights. The make out protest is ENTIRELY APPROPRIATE, and I dare someone to give me some reasons why it isn't. You don't see gay people wanting to outlaw marriage for straight couples.

Thanks for the insults and demeaning attitude all rolled up in one. Maybe you should REALIZE who Chick-Fil-A's executives making donations towards. Two organizations that consider you less of a human being. Chick-Fil-A deserves all the backlash it can get and deserves to be bankrupted.

Sometimes making a scene is great... because it raises awareness. A protest makes a scene. Protesting is a healthy part of a democracy. I'm sorry if you think this is pathetic, but I consider myself a citizen who has a RIGHT to protest against garbage companies like Chick-Fil-A, with their nasty chicken and ignorant world views.

I can find better chicken elsewhere.

Oh and REAL GROWN MEN AND WOMEN learn to question sh*t like this and make A DEAL ABOUT IT. It's why protesting is so effective in many parts of the world. GROWN PEOPLE questioned dictatorships and BROUGHT THEM DOWN. And in America, GROWN PEOPLE better start questioning everything wrong in society. Then maybe... just maybe, will things start to change. Only children go with the flow.

So no, I'm not going to give a disgusting chain like Chick-Fil-A and it's homophobic customers a pass.

Nicely put. I totally agree with everything you said. This shit is fucking ridiculous! I'll never understand how anyone can judge us for the way that we were born, (and yes, I am one of those people that truly believe's that this is the way god created me, and that it has nothing to do with choice or a fucking "lifestyle" it is not a lifestyle, this is just simply how we were made). God did not make a mistake when he created me the way that I am, and I refuse to back down when these bigots are basically saying that god in fact did make a "mistake" when he created me or anyone of "us." God loves me and all his gay children, and I am just so sick of these hate-spewing, judgmental mongrels that exist in our world-- that think they should be allowed to get away with this kind of behavior. I will fight back until the day that I die.

One of my co-workers went to that Chick-Fil-A rally in support of the chain's president's stand against gay rights. I was surprised in a way when he told me about going to it. I didn't think he was into politics much, though he has expressed a lot of disdain for president Obama.

I'm not surprised at his religion based stand on gay rights. He has some close family members that are clergy, and he attended a christian school. He's a good guy, but has been a bit biased by his strict fundamental, southern, christian family upbringing, and background.

Wait so ALL customers who buy food at chi Fil a are ALL homophobic? Kind of generalizing there guy. Despite lines being bigger next thing you know Gay community will say Chik Fil A is of limits! " we" will not eat there...first off I don't like fast food but have tried their breakfast biscuit. Egg as cheese...Was good. But then again I care about ME and about my family and friends ONLY and not about the gay community..so maybe I am biased..as far as equality goes, safe to say I have never had an issue about that..might be my physical appearance and demeanor, but I'm very likable and accepted despite me not caring who likes me and who doesn't. I'm all business at work and with my close colleagues I have fun at work with. Gay marriage I don't care for, I left my ex bf because he was too clingy...so I guess this doesn't apply to me...I respect others beliefs but MY beliefs are above all. And the rest stay beneath me.

God did NOT make a mistake with you buddy. It's up to you how you live your life. Being gay is as traditional as being blonde or brunette. Being gay does NOT define who you are! Being gay is not a personality trait. You understand? This is why when I hear gay pride I think and maybe giggle a little...curly brown hair pride day!!!

When gay pride is considered equal to Black Rights, I think total BS!!! Nowhere near the same!! Women's rights I dislike them but I do believe in those as women who are the weaker sex PROVED they can work alongside us men! They worked for it. Meanwhile gay men we...yeah we are MEN!!! We don't have to prove anything to anyone, you understand? It's stupid to separate oneself from the Male Community as if I am weaker...not at all buddy in fact I think I am VerY physically strong and dominating, and my persona equally as strong. I don't feel lesser than any other man. Fact is I look down at other men, weaker men. But with a secret hope that they improve themselves and become better. I do not discriminate gay and straight. I really wish people could see from my point of view. All this, isn't necessary.

Re-read the statement before you make moronic statements of your own. :)

Wow, so you're saying anyone that buys FOOD at a certain fast-food chain is homophobic? Because of the owners personal beliefs?

Gays stress so much that they want to be tolerated, yet they can't tolerate someone elses personal opinion. It's a shame. I understand that there is money being given to anti-gay groups. Is that wrong? Yes, but I'm not going to sit here and get my panties in a bunch because someone has different beliefs than me.

You labeling everyone that is a customer of Chick-Fil-A as homophobic is horribly inaccurate.

And any gay person eating at chick-fil-a this point is like a gay republican to me. Not worth the effort to engage in any form of discussion.

I love how you edit your posts after I reply to them..it's just so funny. And here you go again with another dumb rant. Someone else has different beliefs than you, and you can't have a discussion about it? You preach to other posters that they have a narrow mind when you don't agree with them yet you might have the most narrow mind out of anyone I've talked to on here. Grow up, if you're going to post something and have someone disagree with you take it like a man and be respectful. Everyone has different beliefs and opinions, it's human nature.

Then edit your posts afterwards. And what dumb rant? Like the several ones you did in CE&P a few months ago? You're the one with a VERY narrow mind and you are the one that has some maturing to do.

I have a narrow mind? Have you read your posts? You're grouping together thousands of people who eat at a restaurant as homophobes because of the owners beliefs.

I have different political beliefs than you, who cares? I'm not the one labeling you as a dumb liberal. I am being mature with this situation, I don't care for Chick-Fil-A's CEO beliefs, but they're his. I don't expect someone to change mine, so I don't plan on changing someone else's.

Explain how I have a narrow mind? I'd love to hear it. Because I'm accepting of other peoples differences and beliefs whereas you are not?

All I know is, like I said earlier, no one has the right to judge and hate me because of my sexual orientation. It isn't anyone business or "right" (no matter what anyone says) to spread hate or judgement on things that they don't understand. If you hate gay people-- keep it to your fucking self, no one needs these people out here, encouraging more people into believe that it's okay to be hateful (cause we all know that this is not about some fucking freedom of speech), that's just an cop-out and excuse to be the bigot's that they are.

At this point, I'll gladly describe everybody eating at Chick-Fil-A as supporting the executives and their actions. They can find better food elsewhere. So the food isn't an excuse.

Your posts pretty much demonstrate it. And you're not capable of accepting my opinion on this matter. You seem to be very up in arms about it. So... pot calling the kettle black?

Oh and good one not responding to a good part of my post. It just shows you have no case.

I didn't respond to your nice little jabs at republicans erasing the freedoms of this country because I do not feel like getting in a heated argument over something so repetitive.

And any gay person eating at chick-fil-a this point is like a gay republican to me. Not worth the effort to engage in any form of discussion.

Recall, I didn't point out or throw a immature jab at your political beliefs or posts from months ago. That was you. I haven't once said in my disagreement about this anything about you being a liberal.

You are more than welcome to have your opinion about this situation, but I can certainly disagree with it.

I disagree with you labeling everyone that eats at Chick-Fil-A as homophobes and I will defend that. You saying that there is better food elsewhere is not an excuse. People eat at certain places because they ENJOY the food that it serves. I'm sure there is better chicken elsewhere, but if someone likes the restaurants food they will continue eating there.

And little jabs? IF I didn't respond to your little jabs against liberals and others, I wouldn't have anything to respond to. There was nothing immature about stating the reality. You don't have credibility. Just as simple as that.
You are more than welcome to have your opinion about this situation, but I can certainly disagree with it.
Disagree with me all you want. The food is no longer an excuse. Chick-Fil-A serves garbage... there is significantly better food out there. The reason people go to Chick-Fil-A is now political (they support Chick-Fil-A's anti gay stance).

Please buddy, point out one jab in this entire thread that I directed towards liberals and their beliefs. Feel free to disagree with my politics, but you not being able to respond maturely is very telling of the type of person you are. And since you claim I don't have credibility, you do not as well.

Feel free to take a jab at my religion as well if you'd like

Everything in your posts is considered a jab against those who are against Chick-Fil-A, including myself. Your posts now, as they have in the past, suffer from a severe lack of content. Try to build up an argument instead of coming at me with this. I have credibility, you don't.

Have you had an argument in any of this? I haven't seen it, all I've seen is that your opinion is right and anyone who disagrees with it is a moronic republican homophobe.

Have a great night! Heading to bed :)

Gays stress so much that they want to be tolerated, yet they can't tolerate someone elses personal opinion. It's a shame. I understand that there is money being given to anti-gay groups. I agree with this completely.

As I just stated in one of the other threads about this, the question must then be asked WHY this man's personal opinions has created SUCH a controversy across the U.S. when the EXACT same views if expressed by Mr. & Mrs. Average would not.

And so one can only come to the conclusion that the REAL agenda (at least that of the far-left activists and blogosphere) was that this man spoke his views in a public forum. So what? Big deal. He's not going to rally people to him with those closed-minded insular remarks. It's just more the same from these types of people.

So was his 'crime' speaking his views in public? Then it becomes an attack on his freedom of speech. Which I will defend.
