UPDATE --

Good news everyone!

It's official -- Chick-fil-A in Hollywood opens for business on Thursday, September 22, at 6 AM.

Chick-fil-A
6750 W. Sunset Blvd. (Corner of Sunset Blvd. & Highland Ave.)
Los Angeles, CA 90028

This Chick-fil-A location, located about one mile east of West Hollywood, is arguably located in the most gay-populated & politically liberal neighborhood that Chick-fil-A has ever opened a franchise. The L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center is located 2 blocks away (5 min. walk) from this Chick-fil-A.

Eat mor' Chik'n! :) (!)

I'll be there!

I hope you're getting a generous commission for this.

I like to consider myself Chick-fil-A's liaison to the gay community. I am the voice for conservative gays who love God, America, and Southern-style chicken sandwiches.

Well, I don't love God because I'm not sure he exists. I love the idea of a higher power, but I hate the majority of its followers.

I love America, especially when under good leadership.

Of course I love good food, which I'm sure Chick-fil-A has, though my rights are more important.

So am I... can we share the commission? Serious...I love God, America and a good chicken sandwich on whole wheat buns..just on Chick-fil-A!

An Indian Christian ! I got my fill of oxymoron today and enjoyed it. Thank you!

Actually, there are a significant amount of Indians who are Christian, especially those who are from South India. The Portuguese, followed by the British, brought Christian missionaries with them to India.

Christianity is India's 3rd most practiced religion at 5%, after Hinduism (80%), and Islam (12%). Christmas & Easter are state-recognized holidays in India.

I'm just trying to get the picture out of my head, but I'll bet someone's keyboard is covered with chik'n fat.

All I can say is, knock yourselves out...all those homos who are so infantile in their tastes and need for self-satisfaction that they can hand over a single dollar to a corporation actively fighting against their civil rights.

What civil rights is Chick-fil-A actively fighting against?

While I personally support same-sex marriage, I don't believe that it is a civil right. Gays are not prohibited from voting, restricted in employment opportunities, or banned from running for (& holding) public office.

OMG! I know........I had a really bad chicken craving, so I just ate at Chick-fil-A today...........it's sooo yummy :)

Seriously, they have the friendliest customer service out of any fast food joint.........they're always smiling, and they never refuse to give out extra dipping sauces.........compare that to McDonald's where they nickel & dime you for everything.

Me too but I cant get it at Chick-Fil-A :badgrin::badgrin::badgrin:

I have noticed that the clientele are presumably Christian Boys and they are usually damn good eye candy and not very obese. I believe Chick-fil-A figured out they could stand for family and make a buck. What they support in their donations are their business.

McDonalds is in China... must support political prisoners....

Meh

Some of the guys who work at Chick-fil-A are so damn hott.........I'm serious. Most of them are 18, 19, or in their early 20s.

I have a weakness for White (Anglo), conservative looking, clean-cut guys.........if I told you I went to Chick-fil-A just for the chicken sandwiches, I would be lying.....

God I LOVE chick-Fil A

A large fry
and Plain chicken Sandwich

Under five bucks. I don't know if that is cheap or not but at Chipotle I leave spending $15 so its an upgrade.

After I heard about the Anti-Gay stuff I felt guilty about going there the first and second time I went post-Anti Gay rhetoric.

I surely got over it.

Idgaf who got a problem with it.

Well sunshine, marriage is a civil right. Because, at the end of the day, it has been a civil contract for a few centuries now.

Frankly your personal opinion on civil rights isn't at all relevant in this matter, because it has been shown to be incorrect.

I live in one of those civilized countries that has enshrined homo marriage as a civil right. Protected by law. Equal under law.

But if this is what it takes for you to fell ok about choking down white meat and sleeping easy, knock yourself out.

But don't stand in the way of all those who believe that any corporation fighting for something that is an acknowledged civil right ought not to be excused for their hypocrisy and their efforts at causing harm to others.

I wouldn't eat there. My gay money is spent else where. It's like giving money to "Jews for Hitler"... It's just a little more subtle.

Not restricted in employment opportunities? Are you serious?

I always love it when a closeted person who's never had a longterm full-time job, while living with mum and pops who pay their health insurance and car payments proclaims the absence of gay and/or age discrimination.

Chick Fil A expects employees to pray, refuses domestic partner health insurance coverage unless court ordered to do so, and sends young managers to str8 Christian marriage camps.

I'm out to my parents & a few of my friends. Therefore, I am not closeted. I also live with my parents to save money. I'm not like, rich or anything. I drive my dad's old Mercedes-Benz -- he gave it to me when he bought a new one for himself.

So what? Chick-fil-A is a private company, and they can do as they wish. If you don't want to work there, don't. If you don't want to eat there, then don't. That's your decision to make.

But don't to try to prevent me or other people from eating at Chick-fil-A, or anywhere else for that matter.

Molten, you really should not get between a man and his chicken sandwich. Your hand my get bitten off. :p

No one is trying to stop him/her from eating there or any other place for that matter. However, we can look at his choices that he/she is self-promoting here and understand a little more of what kind of person he/she is. A little disappointing and I'm guessing that he/she is probably someone that just generally follows what his/her parents told him/her to follow. Probably still very young. And I don't mean that his/her opinions will change as he/she gets older either.

OFF-TOPIC - Do you ever wonder if some people on JUB, no one in particular, have more than one user name?
