^ Thanks for these.

I wish they'd go national on billboards.

Not everyone here is some kind of a gay activist....

If you don't like Chick-fil-A, then don't eat there. You can go eat at some overpriced vegan, organic food restaurant with snobby gay waiters & rude service in NYC or West Hollywood.

Meanwhile, those gays like me, who are tolerant of others' beliefs, will still go to Chick-fil-A, because we like their affordable yummy food & friendly customer service.

Eat mor Chik'n! :)

Yess.......TexPatriot gets it! ..|

Chick-fil-A is soo yummy........by the way, the Chick-fil-A near West Hollywood at the corner of Sunset & Highland will be tentatively opening on September 22.

The first 100 people in line get vouchers for free Chick-fil-A sandwiches for an entire year! It's become a tradition that some people camp out for days in front of a newly opening Chick-fil-A for the chance to be one of the first 100 people in line......

They should have the homeless camp out weeks in advance.

Is there a line you draw? For example, would you have been ok with the what the Nazi's did to the Jews and homosexuals? And therefore you would buy Nazi made goods. Are you fine with the Iranians hanging people for being gay? After all that is their belief and they are often based on religion. Are you ok with parents forcing their children to go to reparative therapy because of religious beliefs? Your ok with businesses financing hate groups. Do you have a line that you will not cross or is every belief ok? Child slavery? Killing fields? Genocide? You obviously tolerate hateful intolerant beliefs that cause harm to others. And that is of course your choice to do so.

If I was alive during WWII, I would have boycotted Ford as well.

Chick-fil-A does not "hate" gay people, nor are they calling for the execution for homosexuals. They just happen to support marriage as defined as between one man & one woman. I happen to disagree with their position on marriage, but I realize that they have a right to their view, as do I.

Chick-fil-A employs (and has employed) hundreds of gay employees. One of their former employees who is openly gay, Nicholas Donovan, has posted a positive review of his work experience at Chick-fil-A on the Hollywood Chick-fil-A's facebook page.

But no matter. Like a lot of liberals who preach tolerance, you have already branded them with the red scarlet mark of "hate group."

You obviously tolerate hateful intolerant beliefs that cause harm to others. And that is of course your choice to do so.

Define "intolerant." If they were calling for the execution of gays (as how the Nazis, and today's Muslims in the Middle East do) -- then that would be "intolerant".

Chick-fil-A just happens to support marriage as an institution between one man & one woman. That does not mean that Chick-fil-A does not respect customers who hold a different opinion, nor does not mean the Chick-fil-A wishes any harm on any customers or employees who happen to be gay or lesbian.

I tested this out. A few weeks ago, I wore a purple shirt from American Apparel saying "Marriage is so gay" inside the Chick-fil-A near USC in Downtown L.A. You know what happened? Nothing. They greeted me with a smile and gave me the same friendly customer service they usually give, when I go in to their restaurant wearing more "straight-acting" attire.

By the way, while we're talking about intolerance, what would you say to a man who wants to marry 3 wives? Or 4 people who want to marry each other? By your definition of "intolerant", if you don't support polygamous & polyamorous marriages, then clearly you are the "intolerant" closed-minded one, right?

Bottom line -- part of what "tolerance" means is that you can't force people to "accept" or "like" you. If you want straight society to "tolerate" gay people's existence & our right to live as we please, then you have to also "tolerate" that some people are not supportive of gay issues. No matter how much you cry or scream, some people are not going to support same-sex marriage -- for personal or religious reasons. Just because they don't support same-sex marriage does not automatically mean that they want all gay people "turned straight" or executed.

What a lot of gay activists do, is they try to demand "acceptance" of their pro-gay beliefs from others, in the name of "tolerance." The irony of it all is that it is often these gay activists who are the intolerant ones.

I've got it. Let's implement "The Final Solution to the Gay Activist Problem."

I won't dine at Wendy's because of Dave Thomas, RIP. He was "pals" with Pat Robertson.

I won't order Domino's Pizza because of Tom Monahan, loathsome pro-lifer.

I don't shop at Wal-Mart because they keep unions out, hire mostly minimum wage earners so they don't have to pay benefits, won't stock RU-85 (morning after pill) and put lots of long-time, local merchants out of business. (I know, free enterprise rules.)

I won't stop at Cracker Barrel restaurants because they've treated gay employees with disrespect.

I won't contribute to the Salvation Army or the Boy Scouts because they are anti-gay.

I know my non-patronage won't make a hill of beans worth of difference from a financial standpoint, but it makes me feel good! ..|

I do the opposite. I eat at Wendy's when I decide to, I order Domino's independently that they are pro life or not, but happy to know they are. I will support them even more so when my diet calls for a pizza (thanks for the lead. I am a pro life guy). Wal-Mart? I do not go there but now shall I need to go, I may since at least they have some standards on what chemicals to sell. I did not read about the treatment of gay employees at Cracker Barrel. It makes me wonder who are the gays claiming that, but it really does not matter to me. I still love their blueberry pancakes (anyone here up for some). I am a former Boy Scouts and will always support the troops. These were the best years of my childhood. Great experience and knowledge acquired. My patronage or not make a hill of beans worth of difference but it is a stand in my life.

I agree with you 100%, LeoMendez! :) ..|

I'm pro-life and I was a Boy Scout too...........I enjoyed my time as a Boy Scout. I learned life skills, responsibility, and I did things like camping, backpacking, scuba diving, etc. that I probably wouldn't have done otherwise growing up (my parents are immigrants & are not the outdoorsy type).

My first crush was on my Scoutmaster.......he was this really hunky, manly guy in his 40s who was a fireman........I remember volunteering to be the "dummy" when he was teaching us CPR because I hoped he would give me "mouth-to-mouth".......lol

I shop at Wal-Mart occasionally & I of course support our troops! :)

lol...........actually I see some of the cutest guys working at the Chick-fil-A, at least the ones in Southern California.

They're these White, blonde guys who work at the counter & sometimes the manager too........they have a wholesome, clean-cut appearance........which is so sexy to me :D

Unfortunately my thoughts about them aren't so wholesome............ ;)

You don't need the scouts to learn those things. As I mentioned before, I found it to be a haven for machismo attitudes and everyone was increadibly hypocritical. Bullying was rampent and the adults did nothing about it and even seemed to encourage it. However, having the rank of Eagle is a great reference for school/work, so it wasn't a total waste.

This explains so much as to why you are the way you are (and I don't mean gay).

Not everyone here is some kind of a gay activist....

No some are lazy assed hypocrites who are content to let everyone else do all the heavy lifting for them.

Quite content to have everyone else fight for their right to have their fantasy Ozzie and Harriet marriage, yet never lifting a greasy finger to fight against those who would not only limit, but remove the rights of others.

Every time that I read a post like the above, I have no problem understanding how tyrants come to power and how people cede their liberties one at a time.

It is a universal literary theme.

Fat, overfed, underworked animals, sedated with slops, grunting and rolling around every once in awhile as they try to get more comfortable.

Or the rabbits in Watership Down.

At its worst, this kind of complacency has produced fascism and national socialism.

But, I guess you can either be a happy pig or an unhappy philosopher.

Why is it that you, Navigaytion and Pat Grimshaw are always saying you don't understand and need someone to explain.

It is scary...almost as though you're all sitting in the same room when answering threads.

But I don't think that Scream4ever will walk into that trap.
