What is the American response to china about US human right violations in the video ?
What are some examples of US human rights violations identified in the video?
Encouragement, and absolute failure to regulate, loan sharks such as "pay day" lenders who overwhelmingly profit off the poor
When you buy politicians, you can write the usury laws.
Somehow Pennsylvania has stricter laws that effectively limit payday loans and the most egregious examples of usury. You can get those kinds of loans in nearby Delaware. But Pennsylvania representatives know allowing predatory lending will likely cost them reelection.
Of course, that's why I included that line. Actually, I should have said they shouldn't even be allowed to exist, though I'd change that if they were...actually...reasonable.Have you ever investigated the interest rates those [STRIKE]crooks[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]loan sharks[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]profiteers[/STRIKE] lenders charge? I still don't know how they get around usury laws.
That passed with a Republican legislature????When you buy politicians, you can write the usury laws.

In this case, bank loans with ridiculous interest. Tho don't quote me, haven't actually done the research on this one, I'm just Mr. Suspicious.
Are banks allowed to charge 400 to 600% interest?
Up here, pay day lenders are allowed to charge the maximum interest every 2 weeks. If you borrow $500, you pay back $650 two weeks later. If you don't pay it off...
Even if you manage to pay it off in two weeks, you're borrowing again because you spent the money you needed to pay off the loan. It's a vicious circle.
Unfortunately, it is poorer people who find themselves in circumstances which require a little extra cash and they fall prey to the predators.
It's very similar to the 'Rent to Own' cons.
China is stealing a lot of ideas. Not only US.
you only read the title and didn't know the topic is about human right violations in the USA![]()
