Love and hate are strong words but i'd say I find him funny and quite like his sense of humour but only because having worked in a lot of gay bars in my youth, I met many people like him who could crack me up. Sometimes they would overstep the mark but if you haven't got a sense of humour I guess it would bother you.

Whew! I'm glad I live in Canada. I can't even stand to watch him on video. I'd hate to see him walking down the street like that.

No, because then if people asked who I was, I would have to tell them that "I am a no-talent assclown." Therefore, other people would be inquisitive as to who he is, Googling him and whatnot, and he doesn't need anymore recognition than what he has already received.
