I don't want any rants or fighting. Do you guys think it should be allowed to cut the foreskin off of male babies, even if that male wishes he had foreskin later in life. Instead of letting him choose to cut it off when he is a teenager or adult? Should their be mandatory male neonatal circumcision? Thank you.

Our son was a bit premie and the doc advised against circumcision until later - my wife and I decided to let it be his decision - it wasn't for my brother and me - which turned out ironic since I found out very late in life that my dad wasn't cut.

My son wound up having to have it done for medical reasons.

I wonder what it would have been like to have had mine intact.

I don't think it should be mandatory. The original rationale for it was, like a lot of Kosher Law, a health/sanitation one, reinforced by the Covenant - was that God ordained or Man infused into religion?
