I have been lurking around these forum for probably almost a year now. Every once and a while someone writes a new thread about doing enemas to clean their ass for anal sex. Someone always writes: "enemas aren't necessary, just wash your ass in the shower and you are fine." I haven't had anal sex yet...but I have tried washing my ass in the shower(at least 3 cycles of soap then rinsing). and STILL after i put my finger down there...I can smell some shit. If it smells like shit on the outside, I can't imagine I could get rimmed like that. Please someone tell me what I am doing wrong. Or tell me your technique of getting clean down there.

Enemas really are your best bet; even if you clean over and over you still aren't getting all the grime out of your system from the outside. Best bet are lukewarm to warm enemas; be careful though too hot is not pleasant.

a good dump either naturally or with an enema followed by a soaking bath or shower. I understand that doing enemas too often can fuck things up where a person could become enema dependent.
 
Just eat fibers and do your thing, and clean the outside. Should be normal...
 
psyllium husks are a great fiber source (just be sure to drink plenty of water); fiber in addition to warm enemas and soap are really all you would need to stay clean.

I've been a lurker on here for a while too and was never courageous enough to post about this. But, I am in a similar position. I've never had anal sex yet, but I've experimented by trying to put a finger or two up there. I have experienced the same thing as the original poster, and this was AFTER going #2 for the day and washing with soap and water in the shower. I have read so many things saying enemas are not good for you so I really don't know what else to do. Any other suggestions?
 
Some guys are very turned off by the smell of "ass".

Most of the time, you will not smell anything while having anal sex. But from a practical standpoint, there's a difference between smelling your finger and smelling your dick. What you're doing is sticking your finger in your ass and then putting it under your nose. That's not something that would be easy to do with your dick after sticking in another guy's ass.

There are a lot of smells on the human body and lots of smells associated with sex. If they bother you, then do what you must but we shouldn't be overly squeamish about these things.

There are some who like poop and don't mind the smell or getting it on them. EW.
Me, I want everything squeaky clean. Otherwise, I'm out of there. No seconds chances. No break so the other person can clean out. I'm dressed and gone because I won't be able to get it up for a couple of days after smelling it.
 
Please don't listen to people who say things like "I just wash my ass in the shower and I'm good" they are either very unique one in a million individuals or liars. Most people do that with a douche. There are various types from ones that fit on to the shower hose to squeezy bulb ones. You fill your ass (not too much) with like warm (not hot) water and hold it for a short while, then shit it out over the toilet. Repeat this a few times until the water runs clean, then allow your system to relax and settle, maybe in 30 minutes you'll get a feeling that you might need to do it again, or maybe everything will be fine - listen to your body. So you want to do this an hour or two maybe before any sexual activity. Also it''s common sense not to eat certain foods the day before - like don't eat a big spicy meal the night before. I know it takes some of the spontaneity away, but real life isn't a fantasy porn scene unfortunately, so we must prepare in advance.

Much needed. Very rare to see and a must read. Basics 101 you can never find.
 
I have been bottoming for a long, long time and I've had to douche/enema before every hookup always. I use a female douche bottle. I do two bottles then dump followed by one bottle to rinse then dump. Stick a finger up in there to check for any turds.

Too much water will cause the shit to flow, literally!
 
I don't fuck any more neither with nor without a rubber. Too many guys are really into scat. Not I. It is disgusting. It can be so easy to clean your ass. But most seem to don't know it.
 
I also am on team clean. I have an interesting living situation (my partner and I moved my mother into our house when her health really started to decline {stage 4 Kidney Disease} so I have never had the 'showershot' enema nozzle installed. Someday... because I do think that it would be the fastest way to clean; but I bought a douche/enema kit that is hand-pump operated. it holds 300ml of water. Works like a charm.

I have 'heard' about a concern that enema cleaning can impact Intestinal Biome health (dont know the validity and after I was informed the other day to be informed that I can't get a visit with a Nutritionist or Dietician without a medical condition *ugh*, and would have to cover the cost of visit out of Pocket). Since Gut Biome health is reportedly impacting almost every aspect of an individual's health these days. Yay Science!
