Cocktails, Anyone?

I've never heard of Hendricks Gin, where is that from? If I drink gin , it must be "Bombay Sapphire" !!!
 
Hennessy,Remy Martin,Tanqueray(and 10)...the list goes on and on..lately i've been into Bloody Mary's don't know why..

I used to serve this strained, in a cocktail glass, but we called it a Scarlett O'Hara.
 
vodka tonic all the way! I like how clean and fresh the flavor is- I don't do sweet. (or a Miller Lite-I can drink more of them before I become everybody's best friend)
 
I had a delicious Hendrick's Aloe martini the other day...I'm not normally into fancy martinis but I was waiting for Beowulf and we went to a martini bar and I tried this one and it was deeelicious. And good for me, too.
 
A very restful bar across the river from me is called Mint and is famous for its Avocado Daiquiri.

Hope to try it soon.

Only time I was there I ordered a vodka, lemon/lime, cilantro martini.

1/2 oz Peach Schnappps
1/2 oz Southern COmfort

Top with sprite and sweet and sour

YUM!! Only 2 and you're good

I had an avocado martini at Turner's Fisheries in Boston and it was pretty good.

Haha! I like Long Islands too. I usually drink them if I'm at the bar or club.

If I'm not drinking a Long Island, I usually go for a Captain and Coke or a Screwdriver.

ravenstar, thanks for the recipe.

My most recent favorite drink is called a Cranberry Watermelon Martini. I came up with it through experimenting, but I bet I'm not the first one to think it up. It's a sweet drink with just a little bit of tartness from the schnapps.

2 parts cranberry juice
1 part vodka
1 part watermelon schnapps

I mix them in a shaker with ice and then strain into a martini glass.
 
nope..

A cold beer is fine in the middle of a hot summer day.
And a good glass (or bottle) of wine is fine with a steak..

but I'm usually good with a Canadian Whiskey, some ice and water..
Though I don't mind a good martini once in a while.. just one though.. well maybe two.. well maybe three depending on the company.
